I was sent a new title from Thomas Nelson Publishers through the Book Sneeze reviewer program.

Max Lucado has written a new book (this has to be like the hundredth) called You Can Be Everything God Wants You To Be.

My copy has a sticker on it that says “Perfect Gift for The Graduate”, which I am inclined to agree with. I find this title a lot more inspiring than Oh! The Places You Will Go.

My apologies to Dr. Seuss.

You Can Be Everything God Wants You To Be is a short, motivational read sprinkled with inspiring bible verses from a plethora of translations.

The message is this: God created you for a purpose. Your unique abilities and preferences are clues as to what that purpose is.

Doing what you like can mean doing what you were created to do. This means you can live in your “sweet spot” and feel confident that you are glorifying God with the gifts he gave you.

The book gives examples of such people both from the Bible and from “normal life”.

This is not a Spiritual Gift finder, but more of a motivational speech by a leader or coach, encouraging you to “get in there and do this!”

You Can Be Everything God Wants You To Be is a great read for someone in transition, just starting out in the Real World, or just plain in need of some encouragement.

I review for BookSneeze

Da Vinci painted one Mona Lisa. Beethoven composed one Fifth Symphony. And God made one version of you. He custom designed you for a one-of-a-kind assignment. You cannot be anything you want to be. But you can be everything God wants you to be.

I was provided with a review copy of this title.
