I went shopping today. I always have doubts in the changing room so I want some opinions here. Be frank!
Items 1 and 2: pink “boyfriend chinos” from the clearance rack and steel blue knit top with satin piping around the neck. Excuse the dour expression. I mean I was taking a picture of myself alone in a changing room.
item 3: bronze skinny belt. I have a hard time committing to belts.
item 4: a top I call “the librarian shirt”. The arms fit well but my bewbs didn’t line up with the darts, so maybe the incorrect size? (either I am the incorrect size or the shirt is).
Item 5, 6: skinny cropped trousers and pink tank in the same family as the steel blue knit top. Keep your eyes off of my YakPak purse.
Item 7: summer weight blazer. That I wouldn’t normally wear with a t-shirt. I really like the idea and the look of this on the rack, but I feel like I look manish.
So what should be “pass” and what should be “keep”?

I hope there wasn’t a long queue behind you! lol
I like items 5&6 on you

I vote for 5 & 6 as well.

Interesting WW. I did not know Bananna Republic was still in business. They closed the store here a while ago.
Why are they called “Boyfriend Chinos”?
Happy WW!

Maybe “Boyfriend Chinos” because they are “distressed” and made too look all saggy baggy. Unlike lady trousers.

I agree, I like 5&6 but you know I also like 1&2 too

What a funny post.
I love satin piping - I have one in black from last year and it’s held up pretty well. I like all of the pants and the t-shirts but not the blouse if it doesn’t fit you well. Not a big fan of blazers either.
I used to shop at BR more when I was working (and less busty and chubby as I’ve been since ‘retirement’). I think the line will probably suit your body type well.
As an aside - couldn’t you find anything more exciting there?
I mean, the store is great for the basics but don’t be afraid to try something a little different too.

Well the fall line is really uncolorful but with metallic bling on the tops. As much as I love excitement, I teach preschool so I don’t dress overly sassy.

5 and 6, definitely no librarian shirt.

I like everything but the summer weight blazer and the librarian shirt needs to fit a lil more snug.

I’ll second Sheena’s comment- the librarian shirt doesn’t do a thing for you and the jacket is a bit too manish I think. The rest though, you’ve got the skinny body to work the skinny pants and fitted shirts the way they should be- I’m jealous! The belt is cute too.

I’m not a fan of the pink pants. They would be better if they were a little more fitted, and um, not pink! Sorry, I’m just not a pink person. Plus I prefer pants that I can get away with wearing more than once a week!
I like the grey skinny pants and the bronze belt though.

I agree with 5&6 being good and I also think the blue tee is a keeper.

I wish I could pull off a blazer. I just look like a line-backer from a wussy football team…not flattering.

I’m diggin’ the skinny cropped trousers and pink tank combo!
