I have tried before to photograph one of my favorite foods in Laos: fresh vegetarian springrolls.
I got these from an outdoor market near the bus station in Vientiane. I had them made special, boh sie seehn (no meat).
I like to get them from this market because they have homemade peanut butter inside. Yum! The dipping sauce had so many chilis in it today, I think the inside of my mouth is paralyzed.
Deeds enjoyed some with his dinner, too!

We love spring rolls around this place. Those look like the best I’ve ever seen, even with your so-called bad photos.
Your site looks awesome! I’ll be picking your brain in the future when I make the move to Wordpress. Blogger has too many weird quirks that annoy me. I also update your button and your link on my blogroll.

YUMMY! I can see that it is lunch time, but probably would have been hungry at any time after seeing these pics :). Do you live in Asia? Or were you just visiting? I love the food there!

Thanks for your comment. I am interested in your thoughts on a recent post I wrote about teaching cultural awareness to children. Check it out here:

Thanks again for stopping by. I am still trying to talk my husband into going on an overseas adventure. It may take a while yet. He’s all up for vacations, but can’t quite imagine the living there part of it. Both of our parents live overseas, so maybe their examples will help.

You are right, they don’t look appetizing stacked on the plate, although it is a good shot. But I bet they are delicious!
