Remember when I went to the Travel Blog Exchange meeting in Chicago back in July? Peter West Carey generously photographed everyone in attendance in a professional-type way.
You can see how worn out I am thanks to BlogHer ‘09.
This pose kind of reminds me of those “school days” pictures that I sat for every year until 12th grade. Except Peter West Carey didn’t say anything like, “HEY there MISS AMERICA! Give us a smile!”
I remember a girl with short, red hair in 7th grade. When she went in for her photo, the photographer said, “HEY there TOM CRUISE!”
“Um, I’m a girl.”
“I mean, HEY there MISS AMERICA!”
Yeah, nice recovery.
I have exciting news for three lucky winners. *drum roll*
The JVC Everio Camcorder (ended 8/20) is Justine, comment number 778! Wooo! It was her lucky tweet that won it for her!
Extra entries pay off!
To-Go Ware (ended 8/22) has two lucky winners, comment number 33, “CMC”, and “jengd”, comment number 121!
I’m back home from Hanoi now, and am very tired! I wish I could hit the “pause” button on life for about 12 hours so I could rest rest rest.
But, instead I’m making homemade yogurt and contemplating how Nick and I are going to juggle handing off the kids tomorrow night as he returns from work just in time for me to rush off to parent night at school…where, ironically, children are not invited.

I just wanted to let you know that we received the To-Go Ware this afternoon (that was FAST) and it’s awesome. I was hoping my husband would show some interest in it and maybe want to try it for taking his lunches to work… he pretty much immediately claimed it. And as for the utensils, I hadn’t noticed until they arrived that not only are there the standard, knife/fork/spook in the pack, there’s also chopsticks. VERY cool! Thanks again!!
