I love Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil, and Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Honey; I have yet to meet a Tropical Traditions product that I didn’t love.

When I was offered the opportunity to review Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil Lotion, I didn’t figure that it would be bad, but I wondered how it could be superior to using pure Virgin Coconut Oil as a moisturizer.

In fact, Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil Lotion is very rich and luxurious feeling.

I use the Unscented variety, made using purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, organic jojoba, emulsifying wax (plant based, no soy), grapefruit seed extract, and virgin palm oil.

This stuff slathers on a nice, thick coat of moisture, but it does rub in to the skin easily. I had a little problem of being super greasy when I would use straight coconut oil, but the Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil Lotion is easily absorbed.

I use it for myself but I feel that it really nourishes my 2-year-old son on his poor eczema-afflicted feet and ankles.

With nightly application, his spots don’t disappear but they become less rough and not as red.

I really love that Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil Lotion feels and smells “pure”, it is so different from your typical drugstore lotion.

First time customers can use the Mom Most Traveled promotion code 4994605 to receive a free copy of the book Virgin Coconut Oil: How it has changed people’s lives and how it can change yours!

I’m told the check out procedure is tricky, so follow these steps:

I was intrigued by the “Health Appliances” link, so I went there, but then I had to look up how to use a “swing machine.” Sounds cool!

What I learned about the coconut oil is that the expeller-pressed types don’t have the same luscious coconut smell that the virgin oils do because they are machine processed and the Gold Label Virgin is hand processed using the water from inside the coconuts themselves. So cool!

I was reading about soaps and learned that the key to any healthy, natural soap is the oil that is used as the base. Tropical Traditions soaps are made with Organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil as their base, and the scented varieties use only high-quality organic essential oils.
    Thanks!

the coconut industry was severely depressed due to the negative U.S. campaigns against tropical oils in the 1980s and 1990s. Coconut farmers could no longer support their families on the income generated from harvesting coconuts.

The benefits of coconut oil are mainly from the nutrient value of medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs). The best comparison in nature as to the percentage of MCFAs being consumed in a diet is human breast milk. Thanks.
