Like many parents, I hope that my children will one day reach great heights through education. I want them to know everything, even subjects that I haven’t myself mastered.
Thanks to Parent Reviewers, a wonderful new DVD came on to my radar that will help my children be fluent in music.
I used the word “fluent”, because I was really struck by the Trebellina philosophy:

Music is a language. Like all languages, the earlier it is introduced, the better. Just as you begin to teach your baby to speak your native language starting at birth, you can teach your baby music!

As someone who has studied a second and third language in adulthood, I can see several parallels between learning how to decipher music and spoken language.

A key similarity between music and language learning is that music can be read. I confess that even after several years of childhood music lessons, reading music by sight remained very difficult for me.
On the Trebellina DVD, a combination of live action and cartoon characters based on musical concepts help young children develop pitch and even begin to read music!

I hope that one day Jojo will play the violin, like I did when I was 6.
I think Trebellina (a cartoon treble clef), Rock Bassey (bass clef, of course) and Rhythmo (a curly thingy) will help pave the way for Jojo to be a successful music student as they equip him with valuable musical theory long before he ever takes a formal lesson.

Trebellina is recommended for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.

For little ones who don’t yet have the manual coordination to physically play an instrument, Trebellina is an unbelievably thorough way of teaching note reading and pitch, entertaining children at the same time!

Additionally, the Trebellina DVD teaches the names and sounds of specific musical instruments.

While the main focus is music, Trebellina also teaches numbers and letters, so it is a very complete educational experience! Pretty good for a

I feel very privileged to have a copy of Trebellina! This DVD has won accolades from Dr. Toy, iParenting Media, Aegis, Dove and The National Parenting Center!

A good present for kids. Very informative and colorful…which is very attractive to the eyes of the young and the young-at-heart.
