Marshalls and T.J.Maxx are the places to find the same designer merchandise as department and specialty stores but for up to 60% less…they call it “off-price” shopping.

When I go into a T.J. Maxx or Marshalls store, I’m always surprised by how much cool non-clothes merchandise there is to be had. Everything from kitchen wares to linens, toys, decor, MP3 add-ons, and even fancy gourmet food stuffs. How do they do that?

Recently, TJ Maxx hooked me up with $50 in gift cards to see what kind of deals I could find for the man in my life.

My husband teaches math and physics, and coaches junior boys basketball. So he has some specific wardrobe needs.

I want him to look professional in the classroom, but not dorky. Hmm…what to do.

I scored a 2 pack of Nautica Boxer Briefs for $12.99, a sweet pair of Adidas pants ($15.00) and shorts ($14.99) for his coaching needs, a pair of linen lounge pants for $10.00 and some dress slacks for $19.99.

In a bargain fever, I also got a Hurley button up shirt for Jojo ($12.99), a 4 pack of fancy Birch Beer ($2.00), some Earl Grey tea ($1.19) and my most favorite find…a MANGO SPLITTER ($4.99).

Hot diggity bargain hunting dawg!

Yeah I spent more than $50 but you don’t want to get in Mama’s way when she is snagging bargains. Woohoo, TJ Maxx! Lets go cheap!

Apparently TJ Maxx is always adding new merchandise throughout the week, so theoretically you can find awesome stuff that wasn’t there before if you go often enough. (Wink wink)
