TJ Maxx Bargain Hunting

TJMaxx I got the fabulous opportunity to go shopping at TJ Maxx using a $25 gift card, and report back about my experience.

I went with my two children and my 20 year old cousin, who provided good child-chasing duty and also valuable price comparison information.

My cousin works at a national department store, and as we walked the aisles of TJ Maxx, she exclaimed about all of the great deals! Apple Bottom Jeans for 40% less than the retail price, Ed Hardy shirts for $12.00, and other brands that were too cool for me to be familiar with!

TJMaxxLine Jojo and I spent most of our time in the home department. The big basket in the shopping buggy was fabric lined and around $12.99.

We eventually put it back and selected some Starbucks After Coffee Mints for only 70 cents, a bamboo cutting board for $2.99, a Martha Stewart fitted twin sized sheet in a luxurious thread count for $7.99, and a large circular basket perfect for storing our toy food, for $6.99.

After totaling those purchases, I had $4.65 left from my original $25 dollars.

TJMaxxFashion I used it towards some dashing Perry Ellis shorts for my husband. They were $12.00, and normally retailed for more than $30!

My husband, Nick, recently told me that he didn’t want to wear cargo shorts anymore. He feels they are too young. It kind of blew my mind because I wasn’t even sure if they made non-pockety shorts for males anymore. Pleats were also on the no-no list.

But the Perry Ellis shorts were a great find, and he has worn them several times a week since their purchase!

TJMaxxPlusSize I was surprised to see that TJ Maxx has lots of great food items at low prices. There were fancy teas and coffees, sweets, mixes for recreational beverages, spices, crackers, cookies, biscotti, and baking mixes.

Some fancy food items paired with a low priced kitchen gadget or cute bowl or mug would make an impressive gift without breaking the bank.

TJ Maxx also had some decent toys. We saw a Leapster game for $9.99, some Disney Toy Story-theme toys, and Marvel Comic character toys.

I can’t wait to go back to TJ Maxx and shop! Maybe next time you see me I will be looking all put together like these models, dressed head to toe in TJ Maxx bargains!

TJ Maxx and Marshalls are by far my favorite places to shop. You can get such great deals, especially on upscale kids’ toys. I found a Serena and Lily doll there for cheap (didn’t buy it though) and lots of Playschool items too. It’s definitely the main place I go for Christmas shopping, other than Etsy.
