Both of my boys use sippy cups, but I am nearly at the end of my rope with our huge collection of cups!
We don’t have a dishwasher, so it is difficult to properly clean the valves, which has resulted in some mildew sightings which I remedy by soaking the lids in bleach water (huge hassle and scary chemical).
Also I blame the sippy cups for teaching my preschooler bad drinking ettiquite. He leaves upturned cups along his path wherever he roams in the house, getting drips of milk all over the place that quickly stain and STINK!
I have a new ray of sunshine breaking through those dark clouds, though, with our new Tilty Ergonomic Design Sippy Cups
Tilty Sippy Cups are a better option for the transition from bottle to sippy to “real cup” because they are more ergonomically designed to make drinking easier and more “real cup-like”.
For example, with a *regular* sippy cup, kids have to tilt their head all the the way back, eyes to the sky!
The Tilty, however, doesn’t required such an exaggerated head tilt, so the child gets a better idea of what motions are involved in drinking from a regular cup.
There is no valve in a Tilty cup, and this promotes better dental development than a traditional sippy cup or bottle.
The Tilty construction is recommended by the ADA, American Dental Association!
Other things I love about Tilty:
Tilty is exactly what we need right now!
My next mission: only allow the kids to have drinks at the table. Can it be done?

‘Lil Moomette who’s 2-1/2 really likes the Tilty! My own kids used to use the cups with built-in straws, which like you mention, were hard to clean!

I actually just placed an order for a set of these, thanks to your review. I’ve been looking for a sippy that my son doesn’t need to tilt all the way back to use. And what a great price!
