Until now, I haven’t really considered taking my family to a theme park.
There are pros out there, like Theme Park Mom, but I haven’t had the courage to subject myself to a theme park with my two preschoolers.
However, I’m convinced that Jojo, age 5, would have a fabulous time at a place like Walt Disney World, so it was with the same skills I researched my master’s thesis that I poured over the pages of my review copy of The Complete Walt Disney World 2010.
In this case, “complete” is not a hyperbole, it is a fact! With a copy of The Complete Walt Disney World 2010, you are armed with everything you need to know about all of the Disney World parks, including the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Water Parks, and resort accommodations.
There are maps for each place, which means you don’t have to carry around the free park map that unfolds to the size of a newspaper.
There are over 500 color photographs and reviews of 700 attractions, restaurants, shops, and accommodations.
For each attraction, there are helpful tips that allow you to make the most of your experience, such as where to find certain characters or the best game plan.
I love that there is an easy to reference box showing average wait times at each hour the park is open. That way you can plan to avoid the long wait times and minimize grumpiness.
I went to Disney World in 1999 and had several negative dining experiences. The restaurant ratings and photos and reviews are a great resource for avoiding gastronomic disappointment. Because not many things can spoil my mood quite like an inedible $13 salad.
I highly recommend using The Complete Walt Disney World 2010 to plan your trip, as well as bringing it along to reference the maps and wait times once you are in the park.
The Complete Walt Disney World 2010 is the size of a normal guidebook, so easy to carry around with one thumb stuck inside to continually check a map.
The Complete Walt Disney World 2010 makes a trip to Disney World seem more like an adventure full of surprises, instead of a whine-filled money drain. Two thumbs up for that!
Thank you to Coconut Press for my review copy.

How cool! You got to review 2 different books that are my favorite things, cruising and Disney World! I think the food has gotten better at Disney World in the past 5 or so years. Some places are still better than others! I love cruises and can’t wait to go again, but I’m waiting until my little one is a couple years older to go.

Since you live on my side of the world I live in Malyasia. I wanted to let you know that Walt Disney World Hong Kong is wonderful for Jo Jo and Deeds aged kids. It is small just the magic kingdom. We went there in October with a five and 2.75 year old and a 3 month old. The price is great compared to the Florida family member when talking about tickets and food in the park. Plus much closer than its Florida cousin. I love your blog thanks for writing it.
