It may make me seem like one of the “lonely people”, but I have been a fan of The Beatles since junior high, and I’m so excited that TODAY is THE DAY that The Beatles Stereo Box Set is released!
Besides digital remasters of EVERY Beatles album packaged in digipacks featuring the “original” artwork on each cover, you also get a 40 minute DVD of 14 “mini documentaries”.
I’m not sure what a mini-documentary is, but it must be good.
My love for The Beatles began when I was in junior high and bought 1967-1970 (The Blue Album) and later 1962-1966 (The Red Album). They contain pretty much ever recognizable song that The Beatles performed during those time spans.
I listened to them faithfully every morning before and after school, analyzing the liner notes carefully.
Also bought Live at the BBC, from their radio appearances.
When I was a teen we went on a family trip to England. We actually rode a painted tour bus on what was called The Magical Mystery Tour, and spent the night in Liverpool, where we were served blood sausage at a breakfast buffet, visited Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane.
THEN the ANTHOLOGY was shown on TV and I was completely inspired.
I have the both The Beatles Anthology CD’s and all of the DVD’s now. And my brother is always asking to borrow the DVD’s. We share the fanship.
I have seen all of The Beatles movies, even the super boring ones (*ahem*, HELP!), and my 4 year old is obsessed with Yellow Submarine.
I would so be able to beat any challenger in the new video game The Beatles: Rock Band. Bring it ON!
Which Beatles album is your favorite? Which SONG is your favorite?

My favorite song would have to be “Free As A Bird”,one of those oreviously unreleased ytacks Lennon wrote, and shared posthumously. It’s one of the most beautiful songs I;ve heard to this day.
