I love those little appliqued birthday shirts that feature the age of the child in whimsical bold fabrics.
The problem for me is that I can’t sew! I don’t have a sewing machine. Or a fabric store. Really I am a lost cause.
But! I had the opportunity to review TeeJuice Fabric Markers by Jacquard Products, and IMMEDIATELY I knew that I would use them to make Jojo a birthday shirt for his big day in October!
Of course I didn’t want to spoil the surprise, so Deeds modeled it while Jojo took a nap. Deeds also wants you to know that he isn’t fat, but he had on another outfit under the tee.
TeeJuice markers come in Broad Tip (like the number “5″ on the shirt), Fineliner (like a regular pen width), and Medium Point.
You can use TeeJuice markers on any fabric, even canvas and leather (lampshades, for example?) then you “lock in” the color by ironing it a bit. Then it is washing-machine safe!
I am a little self-conscious about my design (I mean it looks like of *third grader*, doesn’t it?), but I think Jojo will be proud to wear it. If you have more skillz than me, there are weekly
and quarterly contests held at www.TeeJuice.com.
Each week, a design is chosen from each of the four themes: Fun & Games, The Edge, Beauty & Beast and Holiday/Seasonal. Entrants are separated into two age brackets, 12 & under and 13 & up. Prizes range from gift baskets to cash!
All three sizes of the non-toxic TeeJuice Fabric Markers are available in eight vivid colors: Golden Yellow, Red, Blue, Black, Chocolate Brown, Orange, Purple and Emerald Green. The pens are available individually or in box sets. Individual Medium Point and Fineliner Pens, MSRP $2.99; Individual Broad Tip Marker, MSRP $3.99. Box Set of Medium Point or Fineliner Pens has 5 colors and Box Set of Broad Tip Markers has 4 colors, MSRP $14.99.
*Wake up Jojo!*

That’s such a cute shirt, and I can definitely see Deeds re-modeling it again on his 5th b-day.
And he doesn’t look fat! Even with clothes underneath, silly lady.
