WW: Tea Party Fashion
When the girls and I got together to plan these fun Tea Party giveaways, we had a really great time. Things got a little out of hand, but overall, I think we behaved responsibly.
We were inspired to show you our official Tea Party Hats. If you post a picture of your hat between now and November 21, you can sign the Linky at Fractured Toy for a chance to win a fabulous assortment of pinkness.
This is a straw hat that I actually wear in public. It was a bargain find that I snatched up when I was pregnant with Deeds, so that I wouldn’t be stricken with the Mask of Pregnancy from too much sun exposure.
And it is perfect for tea parties, as well.

Oh you look so pretty Candace! I LOVE your hat! The fan is just the perfect touch for when you become flustered. I myself have ammonia salts in my purse in case I feel a fainting spell coming on.

How coy you are with that fan! And I laughed about the Mask of Pregnancy…I forgot about that (not that I had it, it was just in all those books).
Did you know that fans speak a secret language in Victorian culture? Like a closed fan meant you weren’t interested in a man, etc. It was a way to communicate non-verbally in prim and proper times.

i would wear a hat everyday if i didnt look so stupid in one
