A family vacation to New York is rife with possibilities. Not everything about New York City is kid friendly, but if you know where to look, a visit to NYC can be a rich experience for visitors of any age.

DECIDING WHAT TO SEE

My kids are very much into museums, mostly because they love Indiana Jones. I [...]

Horseback Riding In Montego Bay @ChukkaCaribbean #VisitJamaica

I would like to say that I am relatively adventurous: I eat street food, I use public transportation, I exercise in dress clothes, but there are some things to which I don’t routinely subject myself.
One thing on that list would be “large animals”. I don’t know jack squat about riding a horse, but when I [...]

The Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa is is a 25 minute drive away from the Montego Bay airport, on the Northern Jamaica coastline.
You can see the gorgeous Caribbean Sea, and enjoy giant modern rooms that don’t distract from the natural beauty surrounding them.
And it has a kids club. *Fist pump*
Look at how giant this room is:

Recline saucily [...]

After BlogHer, I took a day to Rest and Recharge in San Diego, at Residence Inn in the Gas Lamp Quarter.

I really didn’t have any experience with Residence Inn; I just thought it was a name.
I didn’t realize that by “Residence”, they mean “you can actually live here”. But you totally could!
Why Residence Inn is [...]

Every Labor Day weekend, downtown Atlanta morphs into a fantasy universe know as Dragon*Con.
Dragon*Con is tricky to explain to those who haven’t heard of it, but Atlanta’s annual science fiction convention is having its 25th anniversary this year.
Deeds and I were given an adult pass, and I learned that children under 7 don’t need a [...]

Coolest Eco-Friendly Travel Toy: Tegu Pocket Pouch

Yazan: CanCan | 11 May 2011 | No Comments

I will confess, I’m not a big fan of typical “travel sized” games.
They usually have tiny pieces that get lost. Plus plastic junk is ugly.
So that is why I am very impressed with Tegu’s Pocket Pouch; 8 pieces of magnetically connecting wooden blocks in a lovely felt case.
These Tegu Blocks can construct all kinds of [...]

Last weekend I went back, now as a mother of two rowdy boys, and I think I can chalk it up as one of the [...]
