Puj Baby Tub

When Jojo was a baby, we traveled even more than we do now. We flew to Laos when he was 7 weeks old, followed by a month in Thailand at 12 weeks. Before he was 2 he had been to Thailand, Laos, China, Singapore, Malaysia, and of course exotic places like Alabama and Tennessee.

One issue we always had was that we couldn’t bring a big, bulky baby bathtub along, and the hotels never had one to lend us.

I remember when he was around 6 months old a hotel provided us with a round basin that we were able to successfully prop him up in while sitting in a couple inches of water. His girth helped.

But now there is a more convenient solution for home AND travel: the Puj Tub!

The Puj Tub fits in any standard sink so your back remains comfortable while bathing baby. The Puj Tub cradles baby in a secure, relaxed position giving your baby a safe and enjoyable experience.

After bath time, the tub folds flat and you can hang the tub anywhere you would like.

This new approach to baby bathtubs saves water, energy, and space.

The Puj Tub is made from a soft, flexible non-slip, PVC-free and BPA-free material and is recommended for newborns up to age 6 months.

Check out the Puj Tub for yourself at the new web site exclusively for baby bath tubs!

Sassy Developmental Baby Toys

Sassy has redesigned their baby toys, making them better suited to baby’s developing senses.

That means bold geometric patterns, symmetrical faces, high contrast patterns and bright colors, soft sounds and upbeat music, and many exciting textures.

When I read the part about “bold geometric patterns”, I envisioned the bright, clashing colors of the 1980′s. Happily though, these new toys are modern and cute!

Baby Deeds spent a good portion of his first year on earth in the confines of the infant car seat. It is the fate of the second born, being schlepped along for the ride whenever big brother had somewhere to go! He would have loved having these adorable Sassy Go Go Bugs to look at.
Sassy Go Go Bugs are $9.99 and easily attach to any carseat or stroller. Take them with you wherever baby goes!
Each Go Go Bug toy has distinct sounds to encourage baby to seek source of sound.

The new Sassy Fill and Spill Barrel is really a “barrel of monkeys”!
Filled with adorable, smiling monkey toys, the Sassy Fill and Spill Barrel will be great fun for baby to fill up, dump out, and start again! Retail price, $9.99.
Sassy Photo Block Zoo is the most adorable set of textured baby blocks that I have seen!

I love that they include a variety of shapes (a rectangle, squares, and a triangle), and have space to display personal photos. The Sassy Photo Block Zoo retails for $9.99 but at the time of this writing is on sale at Amazon for $6.43!

The Sassy Pop N Push Car gives great sensory feedback with colorful popping beads that hit the top of the car when it is pulled.

The Sassy Pop N Push Car retails for $5.99.

Blogging Mamas, it’s never to early to get your child started on the path with a Sassy Touch & Talk Laptop!
The Touch & Talk Laptop is actually a baby mirror with some fun bonus features.

It has buttons to press, which speak the name of the corresponding color in English and Spanish.

The “monitor” is the mirror, and high contrast colors to add extra stimulation and interest.

Even without these sensory stimulating benefits, the Touch & Talk Laptop is really cute!
The retail price is $14.99.

I couldn’t resist, as a blogger, I had to ask for a Touch & Talk Laptop to give away to my readers!

Nature’s Baby Organics

NaturesBabysNature’s Baby Organics is a yummy-smelling line of organic products created by a mom to meet the needs of her children, who had sensitive skin and eczema.

I really love our Nature’s Baby convenient Travel Pack. It contains: Shampoo/Body Wash, Conditioner, Aromatherapy Calming Spray in Lavender, and fragrance-free Face and Body Moisturizer.

I LOVE the Aromatherapy Calming Spray and have used it both at home and away.
Both of my children are sensitive to smells (Jojo especially gives everything a “sniff test”), and I have used the Aromatherapy Calming Spray on hotel pillows, airplane seats, and at home before bed.
The Aromatherapy Calming Spray has a pleasant, pure scent and isn’t perfumey at all.

All Nature’s Baby Organics products are allergist-approved. They contain NO Paraben, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Laureth Sulfate or synthetic fragrance.

natures_baby_organicsWe also received a sample of Vanilla-Tangerine scented Shampoo and Body Wash (a 2-in-1 deal!).
The Shampoo and Body Wash is quite luxurious, you might want to ask your baby to share with you! It is made with Organic Aloe, Comfrey, Calendula & Chamomile, and is 100% Vegan. Paraben, SLS, Propylene Glycol Free & Hypoallergenic.
The Vanilla-Tangerine scent is yummy and refreshing.

I can’t imagine that anything in the Nature’s Baby Organics line would be less than wonderful.

I love this boutique-quality, organic luxury!

Look for Nature’s Baby Organics at Whole Foods, Vitamin Shoppe, Babies R Us, or Amazon (I saw some good deals on Amazon!).

Jazzy Toes

Vintage Baby Deeds, pictured left, wearing his cute little Jazzy Toes socks!
I loved it when Deeds wore Jazzy Toes when he was a baby. Adorable little socks that look like shoes made just for babies!
Now Jazzy Toes has some wonderful new designs, so that you can have an endless rotation of cuteness for your baby’s feet.
My favorite new offering is the Mary Jane Lacy Baby Tight, cute little tights with a ruffled bottom and built in Mary Jane “shoes”! Available in sizes 6-12M or 12-24M, these retail for $17.99/pair.

JazzyToes also now has the Bamboo Collection, socks made from eco-friendly Bamboo yarn, which is hypoallergenic, breathable, anti-bacterial, natural, and silky smooth.

The JazzyToes Bamboo Collection is available in blue and green High Top Sneakers or black and pink Mary Janes. $14.99 for a two pack, or $6.99/pair.

Extra whimsical is the new JazzyToes Flip Flop 3 Packs- mock flip-flops with drawn-in toes and toenails.

I’ve never been to the Hamptons, but if your baby is going on a weekend getaway they would look smart in the JazzyToes Hamptons 6 Pack!

Art for Baby

When I give a baby gift, I try to find something that will be meaningful and valued by the family.
You can hardly go wrong with a good book, and Art for Baby is just such a book.

Art for Baby is a sturdy, 12 page board book with black and white silhouette or line-type pictures by accomplished artists.

Savvy parents will recognize the stylings of Josef Albers, Patrick Caulfield, Keith Haring (Kathleen! I know you are a fan!), Damien Hirst, Gary Hume, Kazimir Malevich, Paul Morrison, Takashi Murakami, Julian Opie, Bridget Riley, and David Shrigley.

Babies enjoy looking at objects with lots of contrast, so why not give them some art in their visual diet? Makes sense to me!

Plus the other parents at the baby shower will think you are extremly cultured for selecting such a gift. And rightly so!

Pick up Art for Baby for about $14 on Amazon.com.

Adiri Natural Nurser

Baby Deeds was understandably VERY happy when we started using Adiri Natural Nurser Baby Bottles.

(Baby Deeds, pictured here at about 5-months-old!)

We still nurse, but increasingly as he grew, there have been times that we needed to be apart for short periods, including when I was working part-time.

I didn’t want him to have to be entirely dependent on my return to give him nourishment. I snack between meals a lot myself!

With Adiri Natural Nurser baby bottles, I didn’t have to worry about the dreaded “nipple confusion”.

What is good about Adiri?

  • 100% polycarbonate-free and BPA-free
  • beautiful design
  • easy to fill and prepare for use
  • includes cover to protect nipple from dirt and germs
  • dishwasher safe
  • Adiri bottles are shaped like a mother’s breast!

My son adored using Adiri bottles. I was so excited to try them when he was 6-months-old that I gave him a bottle of water. He started to drink it and then stopped and smiled at me! He happily began to “milk” the bottle with his hands while he continued to “nurse” on the Adiri.

I have often wondered why baby bottles to not resemble an actual breast in any way. Do a lot of people have 2-inch long nipples shaped like pencils? (that was a rhetorical question; no show of hands, please). An Adiri bottle would make the transitions between breast and bottle feeding seamless and interchangeable. It’s revolutionary.

Photobucket Adiri donated some of their terrific bottles (in each of the different flow rates) to an adoptive family, helping us to Celebrate Adoption!
Thank you, Adiri, for your generous contribution!

Baby Bath Luve

I was so excited to give Jojo his first bath when he was a newborn. I waited expectantly for the shriveled, purple umbilical cord stump to fall off, which the pediatrician had told me was the symbolic “green light” for being allowed to submerge is tiny, red, flaky, squirmy body into a delicious bath.
The eager new mom, I had the baby bath tub ready for it’s first use. I collected the brand new hooded towel, emblazoned with a squeaky dog face, the lavender-scented baby wash, guaranteed to calm my precious one and give him sweet, flowery dreams. I even consulted the rubber duckie with a color-changing thermometer in it’s abdomen, to make sure that the water was just the right temperature.
I lovingly lowered newborn Jojo into the bath water, and he scrunched up his newborn face and proceeded to unleash an angry caterwaul of newborn curse words until the bath’s completion.

I have it all on video.

I know, looking back, that Jojo was FREEZING in that bath water! It was early November and the infant tub was in the kitchen sink, right next to the drafty kitchen window.

What we needed was a Bath Luve!

Bath Luve is a wonderful product that makes baby’s bath a relaxing experience!

Invented by Amy Seckinger, Momtreprenuer, Bath Luve provides warmth and comfort to all babies by covering their bodies during bath time.

To use, Bath Luve is submerged into the warm bath water before being placed across baby’s torso. Specially designed to stay in place, Bath Luve allows babies to enjoy bath time instead of experiencing discomfort from having their chests and stomachs exposed to the cold air!

Bath Luve is especially useful for preemies, newborns and other little ones who are in the midst of a changing environment.

Bath Luve generously donated one one of their fabulous products to an adoptive family in honor of our adoption celebration. The family reports that they use Bath Luve for every bath, and their little one is quite content relaxing under its warmth!

Bath Luve also gets rave reviews from Kathleen; her little Sojo uses a Bath Luve and they recommended it to me!

Baby Dipper Bowl Gives You A Hand

Barbara Schantz is the mother of two sets of twins (one set is 4, the other 6-months-old; check out her blog for adorable photo evidence), so she knows a thing or two about multi-tasking.

I know how it feels to run out of hands.

Somehow, Barbara found the time to design a new product, the Baby Dipper Bowl, for easy one-handed feeding of babies and toddlers!

The Baby Dipper Bowl helps parents feed a baby using only one hand. Baby Dipper Bowl‘s modern design includes a triangular shape, a non-slip base (so you don’t have to chase the bowl all over the table while you scoop), transparent vertical side walls (the better to see you with!), and a slanted interior surface that helps collect the food in the lower corner of the bowl.

The Baby Dipper Bowl is a big help to toddlers learning to feed themselves; the non-slip base helps the bowl stay put as your toddler masters solo spoon maneuvering.

The Baby Dipper Bowl would make a thoughtful baby shower gift, and would be much appreciated, especially by parents of two or more!

You can purchase your Baby Dipper Bowl and Spoon Set from Amazon, or from BabyDipper.com!

Shooshoos Giveaway!

I am excited that one of my favorite makers of soft soled baby shoes, Shooshoos, is participating in the adoption celebration at Mom Most Traveled!
Shooshoos donated a pair of their baby shoes to an adoptive family, and they are giving away a pair of baby shoes to a Mom Most Traveled reader!

ShooShoos is a company that is quick to help others; they are even made in Capetown, South Africa, to uplift disadvantaged communities there.

ShooShoos are a soft-soled baby shoe for pre-walkers and early walkers. ShooShoos are made of 100% Nappa Leather and lined with soft cotton. They have an elasticized ankle (making them easy to put on, and ensuring they stay on those wiggly feet!), non-toxic dyes, and a non-slip sole.

ShooShoos are honestly my most favorite brand of soft soled baby shoes. The quality of the leather is more sturdy and durable than other brands.

Even better, ShooShoos has a great range of styles, and all of the soft soled baby shoes sell for $19.95 and under! There are even some really cute ones for $12.95!

ShooShoos has recently introduced a new line of rubber soled baby shoes called Smileys! Smileys are available in toddler sizes 5 to 8 and feature the same soft leather uppers as the original ShooShoos.

Deeds would definitely have happy feet in a pair of Smileys! In fact, they have smiley faces on the bottom of the soles, so your child can quite literally “leave a trail of smiles” wherever she goes!

Isn’t that what moms want their children to do?

Remember these “vintage” pictures of Baby Deeds back in June, wearing his adorable Brown Suede Sports shoes?
Now, Deeds is 17-months-old and he is still wearing this same pair of shoes! These things are durable, folks! Deeds spends much of his day outside, playing in the driveway, and our ShooShoos still look great.
ShooShoos are machine washable but can also be easily wiped with a damp cloth.

ShooShoos ship very quickly and arrived packaged in a cute reusable clear plastic tote bag.

There are so many different precious designs in the ShooShoos line!

To enter for your chance to win a pair of soft soled ShooShoos, visit ShooShoosUSA and browse the styles.

Leave a comment on this post with the size and style you would like to win (not from the Smiley’s line).

One winner will be selected at random to win the pair of shoes they commented about!

This giveaway is open to residents of USA and Canada!

This giveaway will close on January 23, 12 midnight CST.

Boudreaux’s Butt Paste

Boudreaux’s Butt Paste is a serious diaper rash ointment and skin protectant with a southern-grit-type name that I just can’t say without cracking a smile.
Boudreaux’s Butt Paste is made with Peruvian balsam, zinc oxide, and other key ingredients that help heal broken skin and give relief from diaper rash irritation.
Boudreaux’s Butt Paste has also been shown to be effective on other minor skin disorders like abrasions, acne, fever blisters and poison ivy.

Boudreaux’s also makes Boudreaux’s Butt Bath, a moisturizing body wash and shampoo in one, with a gentle non-irritating formula that restores moisture to delicate skin.

Boudreaux’s Baby Kisses comes in a little lip-gloss tube and is specially formulated to sooth dry lips and chapped cheeks on infants and children.

I got some Boudreaux’s Butt Paste as a baby shower gift from my cousin when I was pregnant with my first child. I thought the name was hilarious but also soon found out what a great product it was when I had the chance to put it to use on an irritated baby bum.
Somewhere along the line my father was given a Boudreaux’s Butt Paste t-shirt as a gift. He loves that shirt and wears it all of the time! I guess that means that the love for Boudreaux’s Butt Paste spans three generations in our family!

Boudreaux’s donated a generous array of products to an adoptive family, including Boudreaux’s Butt Paste, Butt Bath, Baby Kisses, and an infant t-shirt and bib with the Boudreaux’s logo!

Boudreaux’s and Blairex Laboratories would also like to giveaway an adult-sized Butt Paste T-Shirt & Cap, a Baby Butt Paste bib and a tube of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste to one Mom Most Traveled reader!

Maybe the grandfather in your life would be proud to wear a new Butt Paste t-shirt, just like our “Ya-Ya”!

To enter, be sure to visit the Blairex Laboratories website as a “thank you” for this great giveaway. In your comment, tell me your feelings about Boudreaux’s and who would be most excited about you winning this prize?

You can enter once per day, with original comments each time.

One winner will be selected at random.
