What a hoot! I get a dozen of these a week, ranging from specials at some obscure hotel to some kind of new travel gadget. My favorite was a new device that you put under your chin when flying, letting the other end rest on your chest, to keep your head from flopping forward when you fall asleep on a plane. Liked and sounded perfectly horrible! I distinctly did not share it with my readers. But I loved how you turned it around. Miss being able to see you.

Oh god, I got that same pitch, and dozens more like it each week. They’re awful, I mean, whose blog just reposts crap like that. I never bother responding either–what a waste of time.

    Bravo on this post!

To funny, and as your last two replies touched on about receiving the same post, I’m not surprised because it’s happening a lot more now. I enjoy reading blogs and learning from blog sites. I like to take time away from my business website and read a few now and then.

    Keep it interesting!

You know even THEY hate it when they get those, and they probably have to pretend it’s an exciting thing when they send it to us! LOL

Gosh – I love you. This is classic and your response is so funny. What if we all replied to those pitches with the mundane things in our life. ROFL. I could really have some fun with that!

Thank you for starting my day with a smile!

I’ve recently gotten a couple of these. Now that I read it’s so common, I feel like one of the big kids.

I can totally relate and am about to post a similar post myself any minute! On a side note, congratulations on your exciting news. Awesome.

OMG I got the celebrity babies email as well. I just sat thinking do I respond. My favorite is that they asked us to request to use the some of the info which was insane.

How does that info really help my readers? Plus What do I get out of it. More readers, compensation, no just loss of my time.

I feel such solidarity now that we can complain about this in public. Blog Power! (I said that in my spice girls voice).
