In 1989, Jim Henson celebrated the 20th anniversary of Sesame Street with a 48 minute TV special called Sesame Street: 20 Years…and Still Counting!.
In early July, Lionsgate Home Entertainment made Sesame Street: 20 Years…and Still Counting! available on DVD and digital download for the first time.
A nostalgic viewing experience for parents and caregivers, and good, fun educational programming for little ones, Sesame Street: 20 Years…and Still Counting! is rife with special guests like host Bill Cosby, Jim Henson, Kermit the Frog, Ray Charles and famed tenor Placido Domingo.
Sesame Street: 20 Years…and Still Counting! has classic Sesame Street scenes that you will remember from days of yore, as well as interviews with key players of the early days of Sesame Street.
I love sharing DVD’s like this with my kids, and remembering forgotten Sesame Street moments from my childhood.
Sesame Street is produced by the non profit educational organization Sesame Workshop.
