A few days ago Jojo told me that he wants to go back to Alabama, because Santa Claus doesn’t come to Laos.
I’m not sure where he got his information; I guess it might be difficult for Santa to get the necessary travel documents, visas, passports, etc that he would need to enter Laos. Just about anything here ends up taking longer than you think it should.
My friend Lisa informed me that her family watches Santa go around the world on Christmas eve through a cool website that tracks Santa with the Norad satellite. He hits all the continents, according to this website. She assures me that Santa does not skip Asia. It sounds like fun to keep track of him as he makes his gift deliveries on Christmas eve: www.noradsanta.org
My husband made the point that what if we log on and it shows that Santa has already come to South East Asia, but he hasn’t yet left a gift at our house? That could be traumatic…
Since Jojo and Deeds can’t read, I can tell you that Nick and I went out today and did the Christmas shopping for the boys. We ended up spending only $102 for both, which I found amazing!
Also the store had free gift wrapping, woo hoo!
All of the toys we got today are made in Thailand by Voila. Jojo will be getting a doll house and two wooden figures on wooden motorcycles.
Deeds gets a wooden xylophone and a pull along doggy.
I hope that Jojo doesn’t feel deprived on Christmas. He really really wants a Woody doll from the movie Toy Story, but I have no idea where to find something like that.
Especially if you consider that Toy Story came out 15 years ago.
I checked on Amazon and there was a Woody doll for about $50; that is ridiculous! I cannot let myself shell out that kind of coin for a stuffed toy.
Jojo has a Buzz Lightyear action figure and he told me that Buzz needs Woody. He also wants a Mr. Potato Head and a slinky dog, like in the movie. I have to say Disney/Pixar did a genius job with the marketing/ product placement in that movie.
What are your little ones getting this Christmas?

Those biker guys are cool! How fun. My daughter is getting a few small gifts: a Lambchop hand puppet, wooden rattles, a board book, handmade booties…And Santa told me he was taking care of her convertible car seat. I think Mrs Claus has a few useful gifts
stashed in her closetin mind for her too. Should be a fun 1st Christmas! I can’t wait. =)Erins last blog post..Tradition: Jell-O Shots

My girls are teens now so they are getting teenage stuff. But when my daughter was little, she was very into Toystory. She had a Jessie (the cowgirl) costume, 2 dolls, action figures and a nightgown. She couldnt get enough of Toy Story.

We saw Santa Claus on a motorcycle yesterday. We laughed so hard. Only in Santa Barbara would you see that in December. We really just laughed and laughed.
