Rock Symphonies is the newest album from best-selling classical artist David Garrett
I was previously unintiated to the work of master violinist David Garret; Rock Symphonies mixes what are apparently his two loves: classical music and the rock-and-roll songs.
Firstly, we are starting out right with an 80’s rock-and-roll album cover. Yep. I feel that.
Have you ever been in a restaurant, heard instrumental music being piped in, then suddenly realize what you are hearing is a naked version of your favorite Top 40 hit from 9 years ago?
When that happens to me, it kind of makes my day.
Partly because my mind contains an internal encyclopedia of song lyrics and commercial slogans from days gone by.
Listening to Rock Symphonies gives me those same kinds of gleeful warm-fuzzies.
Just look at the track listing, and I hope you will understand:
Have you ever thought of what Smells Like Teen Spirit would sound like if performed by a symphony? It is way fun! Like a really cultured version of Muzak!

Your review cracks me up. You definitely have the best POVs of any blogger I’ve encountered.
That said, I might just have to go listen to some of these tracks.
