I went to a spa today to buy a gift certificate for a Christmas gift. In the spa was a gross European man having a fit that the price posted (Waxing: $6) wasn’t the price for two entire man legs of hairlessness. He claimed the price they quoted him of $24 to wax both of his man legs was “impossible“.
He meant that in a negative way, of course, but that man should have counted himself lucky that those ladies would even consent to remove the hair from his man legs for $24.
Granted, their sign could have been a wee bit more specific, but that isn’t the receptionist’s problem.
It’s not like they were fighting each other for the chance to touch that mess.
Some people!
That man had an absolute fit.
Of course at the time I kept silent, but I’m sure I could think lots of good lines that would have silenced his whining.
“If I were you I would hold out for the highest bidder. Give those lovely shaggy legs to someone who can appreciate them!”
“You talk big for a man who waxes his legs.”
“Weren’t you the stunt double for Chewbacca?”
“Um, I like your white belt. I can see why you need it to hold up your painted-on capri jeans.”
“Keep the hair! I bet it is good for scaring off the roaches!”

LOL! You’re right, the sign could have been more specific, but there’s still no reason to throw a fit!
You’re potential responses are hilarious =)

You’ve got to love a hairy man fit. I can almost picture him. people get so out of control this time of year.

Hey, if women have to pay higher prices for haircuts, since they usually have more hair, why wouldn’t a man have to pay more for waxing? Common sense! LOL!

Well the sign is clearly misleading and coupled with the fact he is paying a 400% mark-up. He shouldn’t have a tantrum but how would you like it if you paid a 400% mark-up on your hairdressing?
