Have you ever wanted to create your very own Audrey Hepburn or Jimi Hendrix?
Of course! Who hasn’t?

With Knitted Icons: 25 Celebrity Doll Patterns you can fashion pop icons that will make fun gifts for just about anyone.
Knitted Icons: 25 Celebrity Doll Patterns provides instructions and a pattern for a simple knitted doll.
Each character has different variations on the same pattern that help you to make your doll look like Marilyn Monroe, Bruce Lee, Abe Lincoln, Jackie O, Che Guevara, Jimi Hendrix, Albert Einstein, Cher, James Dean, Muhammed Ali, Madonna, Andy Warhol, Chairman Mao, the Beatles, Charlie Chaplin, Gandhi, the Queen, Bob Marley, Audrey Hepburn, Bob Dylan, Mr T, David Bowie and Elvis.
Also included are additional pattens for knitting King Kong and Godzilla!
The doll clothes are achieved through combination of knitting and sewing.

Once you get started making your celebrity icons, inspiration will strike on how to create other celebrities using the techniques in Knitted Icons: 25 Celebrity Doll Patterns.

Maybe your child admires a celebrity for which they just don’t make licensed toys. If that describes you, you definitely need Knitted Icons!

I know what you are going through. Jojo’s favorite movie is The Yellow Submarine.

I think Knitted Icons: 25 Celebrity Doll Patterns is a fun coffee table book even if you don’t have any knitting skills!
Creepy Cute Crochet: Zombies, Ninjas, Robots, and More! is a great (hardcover!) resource from Quirkbooks Publishing for crocheters who want to make unique toys!

I’m not sure how, but my oldest child has somehow become fascinated with “scary” things. So, if you have a “twisted” preschooler, an angsty teenager, or just some weirdo friend who delights in oddities, whip up one of these projects for them!

There are 20 projects in Creepy Cute Crochet: Zombies, Ninjas, Robots, and More!, including the Devil (eek!), Nosferatu, Queen Vampire, Chuthlu, a skeleton bride and groom, Medusa, a fuzzy alien, a cleric, an Amazon, the Grim Reaper, a Trojan, a Spartan, a cyber zombie, a knight, a Dia De Los Muertos couple (male and female), and a monkey. I guess monkeys can be creepy.

Creepy Cute Crochet: Zombies, Ninjas, Robots, and More! is 96 pages long and includes projects for both beginners and more experienced crocheters.

These books are my initiation into, well, quirky crafts, and I have to say I love it!

Author Christen Haden also has an etsy shop where you can buy other neat patterns.

Win it! For your chance to win a copy of Creepy Cute Crochet: Zombies, Ninjas, Robots, and More!, visit the Quirk Books and tell me another title that interests you.

I think you are really going to love the book selection over at Quirk Books! I was laughing just reading the titles!

One winner will be chosen at random.

This giveaway is open to US residents.

This contest will close on January 4, 12 midnight CST.

*Congrats to Jennifer Clark!*
