I have been busily searching for summer camp programs for my 6-year-old.
One thing I notice is that even for day camps, you usually have to have completed kindergarten to be eligible to attend.
I was surprised and intrigued to learn that KinderCare has summer camps for preschoolers, and I hope to sign up my 3-year-old, Deeds, for a one week program during the time I am away at BlogHer ’11.
KinderCare did a survey and found that one in four parents of preschoolers send their children to day camp during the summer (25%) and more than half sign them up for recreational activities or lessons (59%).
That’s why KinderCare Summer Camp hosts 12-uniquely themed week-long summer programs that infuse the fun of traditional camp with learning, discovery and adventure for children pre-school through school age.

Jojo is really into “adventure” and “science” stuff, and Deeds loves animals and would have a great time in a Kids’ Kitchen. I am eager to see which camp is running in my area on which dates!
