These are from a shopping trip on Thursday in Udon Thani, Thailand.
Sorry about the blur; I was trying to be incognito and not draw attention to myself taking photos inside of the store.
I used to always buy funny “Engrish” products but now that I have been traveling in Asia for five years, I am a litle more discerning. Now I just take pictures.
One of my favorite products that I didn’t get a picture of were some cookies I ate in 2003 in Tianshui, China. The package said, “One nibble, and you’ll be nobbled!”
Indeed was I nobbled.
This is a travel pill case that says, “Medicine. Wish you happy!”
What kind of happy medicine would you put in here?
There were lots of things that I couldn’t get pictures of because of the cellophane glare.
These are birthday candles on the ends of toothpicks. These say, “Birthday Happy”. Aren’t they cute? I was tempted to pay the 35 baht (about one dollar) and take them home.
I will try to be more brave about my guerilla shopping pictures in the future, so that the image quality will be better next time.

I love all the photo you post like these. I am fascinated with the world, especially the consumer end of it. I just like looking at how different everything is. When my husband was in the Navy he brought me stuff from Thailand and Singapore.

So funny! I remember going into drug stores in Canada and cracking up trying to read the French labels on shampoo (I was easily amused). I would have so gotten that pill case!

There’s a candy store in Barcelona called “Happy Pills” Perhaps that’s where you get the medicine for this pill box. I found some great shots of the shop here:
