I did a review for Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil back in May, and that jar is still being used daily here at casa de Most Traveled. I use it to cook daily, including making the most delicious brownies I have ever eaten, ever.
Also I read tons of testimonials about all kinds of other uses for Virgin Coconut Oil, so I tried them out. I am using it as a night time facial moisturizer, and I have been using it for about 2 weeks as deodorant. Seriously. Don’t laugh, it seems to be working! I’m excited to eliminate aluminum deodorant from my personal care regime.
Most recently, Tropical Traditions sent me some Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Honey from the frontier areas of Canada, and OH MY GRANNY! This stuff is delicious!
It is embarrassing how much I have eaten already!
It has a delicious, creamy consistency like a spreadable butter. I have been eating a GENEROUS spoonful of it on top of toast every morning since it has arrived.
But, wouldn’t you know, Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Honey has other uses as well!
People have used raw honey topically to relieve skin problems, and it is said to be a great moisturizer!
Honey is antifungal, antibacterial, and it never goes bad.
And did I mention this is delicious?
In order for honey to be certified organic, the beehives must be placed in isolated areas miles from the dense population, industry, traffic congestion, and farm fields treated with chemicals and landfills. Second, a bee’s flying range is determined by their natural instinct which tells them to stay within their natural four mile range from the hive location. Finding area which can be certified organic is extremely difficult, which is why there are so few certified organic honeys on the market. Tropical Traditions sources its honey from hives in the wild frontier areas of Canada.

I learned that the 21st century sees a whole generation of “baby boomers” heading into their senior years, with complex health problems that did not plague their parents’ and grandparents’ generations, in spite of all the “medical advances” the 21st century brings us.
(I agree that the quality of our ‘off the shelf’ food is probably partially responsible.)

Since coconut oil is a food and is a staple for many living in Asia, it is considered safe for anyone. In coconut producing countries it is considered normal and good food for pregnant and lactating women, since it contains lauric acid which is also present in breast milk.

“Actually, they can be classified as all three in some form. The meat of the coconut is usually referred to as fruit, and the coconut itself is the nut, or seed, that will reproduce into a coconut palm tree if allowed to sprout and grow, and the oil made from coconuts is classified as a “vegetable oil” in terms of commodity trading. ”

Wow, who knew. I learned this: 10. Is Coconut Oil safe for pregnant women?
Since coconut oil is a food and is a staple for many living in Asia, it is considered safe for anyone. In coconut producing countries it is considered normal and good food for pregnant and lactating women, since it contains lauric acid which is also present in breast milk. However, the cautions of reactions as stated above should be noted. Many in Western countries are used to a low-fat diet, and it is best NOT to begin experimenting with coconut oil while pregnant if your body is not used to it. If, however, you have been consuming coconut oil regularly without any adverse reactions, there is no reason to discontinue while pregnant, and many good reasons to continue consuming it

I learned some great stuff about coconut oil which I did not know, specifically this: There are many ways to use coconut oil and incorporate it into one’s diet. Since it is a stable cooking oil, one can simply replace unhealthy oils in their diet with coconut oil. Since it is a solid most of the time at room temperature or when refrigerated, it can be a butter or margarine substitute for spreads or for baking.
Thanks for the giveaway! This is my entry for the day!

I was looking at the all-purpose cleaner and I’m shocked. It can be used on fruits/veggies, laundry, and for cleaning appliances, counters, bathrooms, and even automobiles. What the heck.
Oh and I was wondering….can CanCan try the organic raw honey as a deodorant and let us know if THAT works? Pretty please!

Brian Shilhavy - Founder, Tropical Traditions, Inc. says if you are seeking better health, don’t just look at your physical symptoms. Look to the Great Physician, and healer of your soul, and give your heart to Christ for true peace with God. Then you will discover true health and life! Everything else on this website, and any product I have to offer you, is worthless if you don’t know God and His incredible love for you, and understand His will for your life.
