Kids are messy; at least the ones I have are pretty messy! And it seems to me that the times when they really make a mess are the times when it is impossible to give them an immediate bath (can I get an “amen”?)!
This is inconvenient when we are out in public, but it can border on catastrophic when we are in a confined area, like an airplane or car.
Traveling with children is not impossible, but the savvy mommy traveler must be prepared! I knew I needed to find a solution for cleaning up messy children without running water before we embarked on our Longest Plane Ride Ever with a 3-year-old and an 11-month-old.
What I found was Oopsy Daisy! High Chair Hair Care, an all natural rinse free shampoo that allows you to wash your child’s hair without water!
Oopsy Daisy! High Chair Hair Care is made from plant-based cleansers and no harsh detergents. Natural essential oils like lavender, orange, and vanilla make your baby’s hair smell delicious!
I was excited to discover such an innovative and practical product and knew I had to put it to the test in my travels!
As you can see, Deeds was initially suspicious of this new and unfamiliar foamy hair-care goodness.
After a few seconds of waterless Oopsy Daisy Highchair Hair Care shampoo, Deeds decided that he quite enjoyed being shampooed this way.
I mean, he really enjoyed it! I have never seen him this relaxed when he was not actually asleep!
Afterwards he seemed proud to show off his clean, sniff-tastic hair!
When I brought Oopsy Daisy! High Chair Hair Care on the Longest Flight Ever, of course I used it for my children. We went about 43 hours with no baths. In the interest of full disclosure, I also used it on myself! Mama’s hair was looking a bit, um, “backpacker chic”, so I used a little waterless shampoo session to tame it back into submission.
I used Oopsy Daisy No Bath Bubble Bath wash for waterless after meal clean-ups while we were on board the Longest Flight Ever. I enjoyed using this on my children AND myself, because it is alcohol-free and doesn’t leave that “residue” feeling after use like “hand sanitizer” does. And since it is made from moisture-rich plant-based cleansers, I felt it was safe to use on dirty little chubby cheeks!
Oopsy Daisy! High Chair Hair Care and No Bath Bubble Bath would be a great secret weapon in any mommy’s purse!
For October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month, Oopsy Daisy! will be donating 20% of sales on every bottle of High Chair Hair Care to the Susan G Komen Foundation!

Junior Jetsetter Rinse Free On the Go Set is a brilliant idea! I can’t believe they invented it. Kids always get dirty, no matter how hard to try & keep them clean, so the body wash & hair stuff will be awesome to have tucked in my diaper bag!

I feel so aweful when Kora gets a runny nose and her poor little sensitive skin actually bleeds from being dry-wiped! I’d love to try all these wonderful products! Thanks for the great giveaway!
07 October 2008, 7:31 pm

Pip Squeaky Clean! Love that it’s a shampoo and body wash!!! Less room taken up by extra bottles and only need to worry about one thing with a 3 month old in the tub!

The Kiddo Kream looks like just what I need. My kids have the most sensitive skin, and it’s so hard to find a good lotion for them! I also like the Boogie Wipes for the very same (sensitive skin) reason. These sound like great products if they really work!
08 October 2008, 7:56 am
i’d like the Pip Squeaky Clean shampoo and body wash because it is multi-functional and imagine the time it would save me!
08 October 2008, 9:54 am
The No Bath Bubble Bath - Rinse Free Body Wash sounds like a cool product! No water needed? I think I’d use it too, instead of just the baby

08 October 2008, 3:14 pm
Very cute idea. I’ve often looked down over at my son while just moments away from some big-deal family function and wondered how on earth I was going to get that weird orange mush out of his hair (What is that anyway? Oh, regurgitated goldfish. Yum.) Oopsy Daisy’s High Chair Hair Care sounds perfect!

My little girl hates having her hair washed. Maybe this is the product that will solve all of my problems…
08 October 2008, 6:31 pm
I was checking out everything on the site and I really wanted to be different and pick a different fave product but after watching the video…
hands down, the shampoo! If it weren’t for my son putting his bowl on top of his head after every meal or putting his open peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on his head, I wouldn’t have to give him soo many baths! This would save me tons of time!! And, I don’t have to chase him all over the bath tub to get him to sit still so I can wash and rinse his hair.
GREAT PRODUCT!!!

I have to say, I love the high chair hair care - rinse free shampoo the best. I think this is a great idea, especially now that my little one is so afraid of getting his hair washed, this will help ease the bath until he can move onto his next phase. Thanks for the chance to win!

08 October 2008, 9:24 pm
With the traveling we do normally it’s a water bottle or some hand sanitizer but ooooo I would love to try the No bath bubble bath for ds… However, I’m sure that when dd gets older that leave in conditioner/detangler will be a lifesaver…
08 October 2008, 9:36 pm
The High Chair Hair Care - Rinse Free Shampoo looks awesome to me because my little girl HATES getting her hair rinsed. The shampooing part is fine, it’s the rinsing she loathes. Ah kids…fun times!

The high chair shampoo sounds awsome for my little messy eater and for my son who is 7
08 October 2008, 10:59 pm
The High Chair Hair Care would be great, as well as the No Bath Bubble Bath for all those times my 2-year-old doesn’t quite get herself dirty enough to warrant a full bath but could still use more cleaning up than just being wiped off. Thanks!
08 October 2008, 11:33 pm
I really need the High Chair Hair Care. No kidding, on Tuesday my Pea had 2 baths because after lunch, which she was supposed to eat but ended up smooshing in her hair, she was a MESS!!

09 October 2008, 1:43 am
Cutie Pie Curlz cause my daughter loves to get stuff in there thanks
09 October 2008, 1:44 am
I could really use the conditioner/detangler spray for my daughters who have very thick hair that is prone to knots.
09 October 2008, 2:42 am
The no rinse products all sound great! I would definitely make use of them during one of our many long distance runs to see grandma and grandpa! However, I have my eye on the Pip Squeaky Clean Traditional Shampoo and Body Wash - as my little guy as super sensitive skin, and some harsher (read: mega name brand) soaps leave him with dry skin or a rash!
09 October 2008, 2:56 am
I could use some Boogie Wipes, big time. My daughter has allergies/colds and goes around with boogers plastered across her face (she smears it around with the back of her hand). It drives me nuts to be caught in a situation like that with no way to wipe her off.

i couldnt decide between the shampoo and the detangler! on the one hand, i have a fussy little one who doesnt like having water splashed over her head, so if i’m in a rush, i cant really dunk her in and take her out… i have to go slow. this would take that fighting away! on the other hand, both my girls have curly (read tangles) hair. if i could do anything to not have to pull and tug, that would be wonderful for ALL of us!
09 October 2008, 12:48 pm

17 October 2008, 2:31 pm
Definitely the Cutie Pie Curlz Leave In Conditioner and Detangler. My littlest has the CURLIEST hair - the kind where a single strand can have 3 or 4 knots in it. This would be very helpful.
