Have you heard of the Top 50 Power Mamas list, compiled by Nielsen Online?
Power Moms are those who are *plugged in* online, using social media as a part of their daily lives, which gives them a wide circle of influence.
You might want to check out the list; many women who made the list were surprised to be included!
And FYI, it took a long time to google all of these blog names, find the URL, and link it! So you better enjoy this blog buffet.

“The Power Pack”
Some momfluentials pack too much of a punch to be categorized. These women create powerful mom networks; speak around the world on the dynamic digital world of mom; and have legions hanging on their every word –via TV, magazines, podcast, blog or tweet.
Heather Armstrong, Maria Bailey, Lisa Belkin, Alice Bradley, Daphne Brogdon, Amy Clark, Stacy Debroff, Asha Dornfest, Jessica Gottlieb, Christine Koh, Jenny Lawson, Dana Loesch, Audrey McClelland, Wendy Piersall, Mindy Roberts, and Jessica Smith.
Honestly I am only familiar with a few of these “Power Pack” moms, but I am definitely going to be checking out their blogs and studying their amazingness!
Congrats to the bloggers who were deemed Power Mamas! What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than as a Power Mama? I hope your children treat you as such!
Also I feel that some great blogs were left off of this list! What about you? Who do you think was overlooked? Let me know in your comment and I will email the forgotten ones to the PR contact at Neilsen Online.

This is a really interesting list. I had no idea about it until I saw it on the website yesterday

Where are you on this list? I guess there’s not a category for super-talented, funny, traveling, green blogging mamas!
Happy Mother’s Day Jojo and Dee Dee’s mom!

Okay Naomi and Kathleen, while flattery will get you everywhere, some of the blogs that I would like to see on this list are Five Minutes for Mom, Baby Cheapskate, Blog Coach could be sort of on the “tech” list…many others.
Maybe fifty isn’t enough! I guess the hard part about making a list like this is that someone has to get left out.
On there other hand, there are a bagillion blogs out there and not ALL of them are good.
Oh, oh and http://zrecommends.com/ ! They really stepped up during the BPA scare and did their own research in order to make a “safe list” available to parents.
And DK Mommy Spot? She always has great “green” product reviews and advice.

I agree…where is 5 Minutes For Mom and Mom Dot?
And MMT? *sucking up in hopes of winning the soda machine*

Thank you for the list linked up! I definitely wanted to check some out listed I hadn’t heard of before. It is such an honor to me among those listed!
I wanted to point out that, as I scrolled over some of them, I noticed double “http://”’s listed for some.
I will see about the 2 you couldn’t find, as I’d love to visit them, too
Thanks again

Wow. Thanks for compiling. Frankly, I wish Nielsen had compiled this all-in-one-place list (with links) themselves. Maybe next time — when they come out w/ the Power Mom 100 list (since there are so many amazing, influential blogs that were left off).
Again, thanks for the shout out!

Thanks for the list….some I read and others I’ve not heard of. But will defiantly check them out and I would recommend the ones the ladies above have too.
11 May 2009, 2:18 pm
A little surprised to see Amalah left off.
11 May 2009, 2:42 pm
I think there are a few left out for sure, 5mins4mom definitely - MMT should be in the Mamastes category. But I know that it is top 50, and not everyone will agree on what should be in the top 50. Otherwise it would have to turn into the Top 89482942, right?

[...] Besides just being one of the 50 Power Moms I consider myself a Web 3.0 Mom balancing it all and trying to make a difference. I’m like most mom bloggers, learning as I go and staying ahead of the curve. I’m juggling the kids, t-ball, cleaning the house, answering a voice mail and twittering while waiting for my son’s preschool to end. Reading and taking notes on my Kindle2 and adding a new Facebook friend all while stirring the homemade spaghetti sauce. Living outside of my comfort zone and motivating others to do the same by getting dirty and planting my own garden with the kids. Figuring out how to compost and live green and buy organic on a budget - something I feel most moms are doing. Now they’re online talking, sharing and communicating - the same as they have always done and really I feel like I’m just like the rest of the pact and want to thank Nielsen online for including me but also for the all the online moms that make such a difference in my life. The Nielsen Complete Power List is available via PowerPoint but here’s a complete list of links compiled by Mom Most Traveled: [...]

Hi there!!! My friend brought it to my attention that I may be on the 50 power list…but I’m so confused??? I’m just curious how you knew it was mine and not the other More Than Words??? LOL..of course, I am ecstatic if it is me, but I want to be sure.

Wow. I just came across this post and wanted to say thank you for all that linky hard work!
So many comments mentioned that too many great blogs were left off. And I agree. Maybe next year they’ll name more than 50, there are just SO many great blogs out there worth mentioning. I frankly have no idea how I’m at that list. I wish I understood exactly how it works, but I’ve made no time to research it
Thank you for doing this post!

Whether you are already reading these blogs or you just want to know who is out there, this is useful information and certainly a valid list of talented women!
