Silicone is some versatile stuff. Made from silicon (the second most abundant element in the Earth’s crust…hmm…) and oxygen (my favorite gas, no?), silicone is a hygienic, hypoallergenic material ideal for making a variety of products from medical supplies to bake ware.

The Silipads are about the size of a pair of wrist bands (remember in the 80’s when people wore wrist bands to exercise or break dance?) so they store easily in my purse when not in use. The Silipads slip easily over Deeds’s knees to protect him from scrapes and bumps. They are washer/dryer safe, and very soft and comfy.

Now what Deeds REALLY needs is a matching Silicone helmet. I’ll keep waiting while the inventors perfect that idea.
