Kaboost for Preschoolers

KABOOST is one of my all-time favorite products for children. We have had a KABOOST for several months and use it in daily life.

WHAT IS IT? KABOOST is a booster seat for children. BUT, it actually attaches to the BOTTOM of the chair, raising the both child and chair to table level. This eliminates the need for a slippery-slidie booster placed in the seat of the chair (it always looks so precarious)!

WHY IS IT AWESOME? Let me count the ways!

1) KABOOST is easy to use: no assembly or tools are required. You can put it on in about twenty seconds.

2) Since KABOOST is easy to use, we take ours everywhere! We have used it in restaurants in the USA, in Laos, at grandma’s house, and in our own home! It is easy to fold and carry (see carrying bag at left).

3) KABOOST is very sturdy! It can hold 300 lbs, and it actually provides a wider base than the chair itself, eliminating the risk of tipping.

4) With KABOOST, my 3 1/2 year old sits better at the table. He remembers to “keep your bottom in the chair” because he isn’t having to sit on his knees to reach the table.

5) Since KABOOST can hold 300lbs, even adults can sit on the KABOOST-ered chair.

6) Non-slip feet won’t scratch floors.

7) KABOOST is spring-loaded and holds tight to the chair. The chair can be lifted and moved and the KABOOST stays in place.

8) KABOOST keeps the nice adult look of your dining room furniture. It isn’t noticeable at all when the chairs are pushed under the table!

Here is a picture of Jojo using KABOOST at a Chinese banquet table in Laos, where we were dining with several of our Filipino friends. This is the most multicultural dining experience ever featured on Mom Most Traveled:

You can see Deeds in the background strapped in to My Little Seat. We have also used My Little Seat WITH the KABOOST so that Deeds can actually reach the table.

In the past we have tried that popular “inflatable” booster seat and seats that clip on to the sides of tables. Besides being bulky to carry (even the clip-on seat that folds to less than 4 inches thick; it is still very wide), these seats weren’ t always compatible with the tables in restaurants.

The clip-on seat was only used once or twice because either we couldn’t clip it on to the table due to the lip being too wide for the clamp, or the table was not large enough and would tip with the weight of the baby! The inflatable booster seat was never tall enough for the baby to reach the table nor secure enough.

I feel so prepared and ready to handle any dining situation when I am armed with KABOOST and My Little Seat for my two boys.

KABOOST can be used on just about ANY kind of chair with four legs. Chances are quite good that your restaurant of choice will have four-legged chairs!

I know that soon the day will come when I need to get a second KABOOST for Deeds!

My only regret is that we didn’t buy KABOOST before I wasted money on those “other” boosters!

You can win a KABOOST! To enter, visit the KABOOST website and comment here with your favorite KABOOST color. How do you plan to use YOUR KABOOST?

One winner, who followed the rules and left accessible contact information, will be chosen by random number generator.

This giveaway will end on Thursday, August 28, 12 midnight.

*Congrats to
Gwen who commented… I love the green kaboost and I have been trying to win one for a while. We are expecting again in October and I would love to be able to get my older son in just a chair. *

I would love to give this to my niece. She doesn’t like to use the booster seats, probably because they are so unsturdy, and has to eat on her knees. I like the chocolate colored one best, it seems it would blend in better.
Glad to see you can use it in Laos as well!

I like the chocolate one best. We’d use it at home, grandma’s, restaurants, etc. Booster seats make me nervous, and they’re sometimes really gross!

I would pick the Chocolate color. I would use it at home for my son. He is in a booster seat but it scares my because it doen’t fit too well on our diningroom chairs. It would also be great to take along when we go to out to eat or to someone’s house for dinner.

I like the charcoal one best and would use it everywhere like my in laws’ home, or parents’ house, restaurant, etc because there usually isn’t enough boosters to go around. At home it would be great too because our toddler loves to be in a big person chair like the rest of us. Thanks!

I’d pick chocolate and eliminate the booster seat. I agree that I dislike the slippery booster seats and this looks more stable and teaches them how to properly sit at the table. I like the concept!! (And it’s clear….there’s always food falling under the booster seat that you don’t see until later.)

I would use a Kaboost for my son at home and at restaurants. He is short for his age and often eats sitting up on his knees. He hates having to sit in a “baby seat”. He has actually fallen at two different restaurants when a booster seat slipped off of a chair. I could use it later on for my daughter. I love the Chocolate color.

I would choose the Kaboost in chocolate because it would show less dirt and scuffs.

We would use it for our 2 y/o daughter in just about every way possible that you described: at our house, at grandma’s house, and at restaurants.

We currently use a clip-on chair that we constantly have trouble with, so this would be great!

Hi, I have read about these Kaboost for and they have so many good uses. I like the way they raise a younger child up to the table with the other family members. The stability factor is a good one, also! I like the chocolate color. I would use it in our home and take it with us wherever
we planned on using a chair. Please enter me in your drawing. Many thanks, Cindi

What a great product! I’d choose the green and use it at our kitchen table so that one of the chairs wouldn’t be taken up by a clunky booster seat all the time. Plus, my daughter would much rather sit at the table like Mommy and Daddy do than in a “baby” seat.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

If I have to, I’m buying one of these anyway, but I’d love to win one, especially in chocolate. I would use it for my 4-year old, so my 15 month old can move into the booster chair, while their brother (when he’s born in November) can use the high chair.

I would love one in charcoal! This would be PERFECT for restaurants, I always cringe and break out the hand sanitizer or lysol wipes when I see the booster seats they bring for children to use. That, and I'm usually more comfortable with him just sitting on my lap, because I'm not completely sure that the booster seat isn't going to topple off the chair, with my little guy inside for the ride.

Right now, she sits at a kid-sized table because its the only way we can get her to sit still and eat, and its still struggle. Thank you for having this. With a 2 year old this would be fantastic. We use a booster seat for her but it is so hard to keep clean so this would be fantastic! I would pick the natural or the charcoal color. THank you!

My favorite Kaboost color is chocolate. It’ll blend in with our wood chairs.

I plan to use this to boost up my 4 year old and almost 2 year old nieces at the table. I hate having to move the booster seat all the time and finding leftover food underneath it.

I think the chocolate would be nice- We travel alot, and go all over- so this would be nice just to pack up and go. Plus, booster seats just get in the way or make you nervous about slipping out of the chair.

I love this thing. I think I will need to buy one if I don’t win :)

And one expecting in Dec., a set of twins. Our niece had her baby 3 weeks ago, and one friend had one a couple of weeks ago. And one more friend expecting in Sept. I’d love to win this! My favorite color is the chocolate since I think it would blend in with our dining table the best.

Use? Well, we have a booster chair that we like pretty well - but my son is getting a little annoyed with it. He wants to sit in a “big chair” - and Little Sister is on the way in a few months, so it won’t be long until SHE needs the little booster chair. This would be the PERFECT solution! Son can graduate to a dining chair with the KABOOST, and LS can have the baby seat. ;-)

I like the chocolate Kaboost. My son is nto quite 3. He’s too young to sit properly in those booster seats at restaurants (he always wobbles near the edge) and too big for the boosters we have at home. This would be the perfect solution to allow him to eat at the table like a “big boy” and also while we’re out. I suspect we’d tote it everywhere with us!

  150. 150 Kelly

Although mine is 11 years old and almost as tall as I am (which isn’t very tall at that) I always, always have someone elses child who is 5 and under I would use kaboost at home and in restaurants and I would like the green one mostly because I like the color but also it would attract attention and maybe get someone else asking me what is that contraption you have under that chair and I could inform them that it is a kaboost booster.
