I was sent a new book designed to teach children ages three and older about proper dental hygiene.
Melvin the Magnificent Molar, co-authored by Julia Cook and Laura Jana, is an adorably illustrated book about a happy tooth named Melvin.
The book is from Melvin’s perspective, making it a tricky, up-beat way to get kids excited about brushing.
Melvin the Magnificent Molar emphasizes the importance of healthy teeth, and the natural process of losing baby teeth.
Melvin the Magnificent Molar gets kids thinking about what happens to food left on the teeth, which means I don’t have to nag as much before bed time (Don’t eat that, you will have to brush your teeth again!").
Melvin promotes brushing, flossing, and regular visits to the dentist, which gives me great hope that Deeds will soon be out of the "toothbrush chewing" phase. He is 2 1/2.
I got a review copy of Melvin the Magnificent Molar through a Twitter Moms alert.
