A Letter from Deeds

Dear Mama,

Thanks for the birthday letter. I look forward to learning how to read one day. I want to also thank you for finally throwing me a birthday party yesterday, even though my birthday was more than two weeks ago.

I was so happy! I actually posed for pictures for several minutes:

But you already knew that, Mama, because you are the one holding me during the photo session.

That was pretty clever of you to dress me in the same clothes that Jojo wore on his first birthday, and make the exact same cake. The cake looked pretty awesome. I wanted to pet it:

But, actually, when I did pet it, my hands got sticky, greasy frosting all over them. It made me very upset. So upset, I couldn’t eat a single bite:

Hopefully no one will see the video footage of me rejecting my birthday cake. I just had some pieces of fruit and then I took a nap.

I do have to say that I feel lucky that I didn’t have to eat the ugly cake that you made for the grownups to share:

Uh, Mama? What were you thinking?

I love my gifts though. I’m glad you have some generous friends:

Thanks for taking a picture of the “Engrish” wrapping paper. I don’t understand why it is supposed to be funny, but whatev, I’m just a simple baby:

Good work, Mama. Lets do it again next year, huh?

Love, kisses, and bites on the shoulder,

Deeds

I’m glad that you were finally able to celebrate his birthday, but I can’t believe he didn’t want that adorable cake!

What did JoJo say when he saw the other cake that said “Deacon is #1?”
Where did you get the whoopie cusion-colored icing?

That is so cute! My first one didn’t like getting his hands dirty either. I think the panda cake was cute.
