I was sent a review copy of Learning Buffett, a new CD from producer/composer William Avery at Yummy English Snack Productions.
Their mission: making learning delicious.

At www.yesnack.com you can download “Love My Cat” from the Learning Buffet for free, or just find out more about the Learning Buffet project.
A lot of the songs are kind of chant-ish. This might be a good way for little ones to memorize facts, such as naming the continents or state capitals, for short term recall.
When I played the CD in my 3-year-old preschool class, the children weren’t really engaged with it.
While I wouldn’t say it is “unsuitable” for three-year-olds, one might deduce that the complexity of some of the lyrics might be too far above the zone of proximal development for early learners to interact with them in a meaningful way.
But they they can still enjoy the music!
