K’nex are a fabulous building toy; in my 3-year-old preschool classroom we have the K’Nex Education - Kid K’Nex Models That Move kit.
My students create all kinds of structures, from flowers, to doggies, to things that previously existed only in their imaginations.
Through Team Mom, I was sent a Knex 400 Piece Value Tub to review. This is the first time I have seen the K’nex designed for ages seven and older.
The pieces in the value tub are smaller than the ones in our classroom kit, probably because one set is designed for preschool and the other for big kids.
On sale at Amazon.com for $20.44, this value priced set gives you 400 parts and ideas/instructions for 20+ models. Of course you can always just go where your imagination takes you.
The storage tub that comes with this kit is an easy solution to keeping the pieces contained when the building is finished.
This is definitely a good value and lots of building fun for a low price.

K’NEX is holding a Make a K’NEXion contest.

I was sent a Knex 400 Piece Value Tub to review on behalf of Team Mom. Thanks Team Mom!
