Ju-Ju-Be Prepared
Going out on the town with children necessitates that Mama BE PREPARED!
Melt-downs happen, but having almost everything your child could need or want on hand can help diffuse a tantrum.
I was so thrilled to discover what will become my favorite carry-on bag for my travels. Behold, the WannaBe from Ju-Ju-Be!
This Ju-Ju-Be masterpiece in Mama-friendly engineering has a laundry list of amazing features:
- elastic towel holder
- a soft, divided pocket for all of your electronics , including an i-Pod pocket with headphone port, with room for a cellphone and digital camera in their own divided zones
- insulated cooler pocket with wipe-clean lining
- an outer magazine pocket and book pocket, for easy Mama access
- two generous-sized, removable wet pouches (one is 6″x10″ and one 10″x10″)
- Sand Trap sand drain; this innovative design allows you to zip off the bottom of the bag and shake out sand, cookie crumbs, dirt, and bits of ground-up Cheerios through the protective mesh layer. You don’t have to dump out your bag to get rid of the dirt!

Since it is the season for outdoor sports, I put the WannaBe to the test by filling it with everything I could think of that a prepared Mama might want to take to watch a game with the little ones.
I put a fleece blanket in the towel holder, which would be great to have while watching a soccer game on a brisk day! The WannaBe by Ju-Ju-Be can be worn like a tote bag OR a backpack.
The wet bags are a great size. The smaller of the two easily holds a full-sized bottle of lotion and a hard plastic case of baby wipes. The larger in this picture contains two bumGenius cloth diapers, which are quite bulky. This one could easy hold a soiled toddler outfit.
I put the insulated cooler pocket to the test with TWO sippy cups, one thermos, and an entire box of generic snack crackers. There was still room to spare!
This is everything I packed in the bag in order to take the picture. I was imagining what I would need to watch a sporting event with my two children, then I also included extra stuff, too.

- Small wet bag with 1 full sized bottle of Aveeno lotion and one hard plastic travel case of wipes.

- 1 entire box of generic “Ritz” crackers
- Momspit
- My Little Seat (portable feeding chair)
- Kidz Banz
- My First Shades
- Small blankie/lovie
- Keys
- travel tissues
- checkbook-sized wallet
- changing pad from Ju-Ju-Be’s BeLight diaper bag
- Large wet bag with 2 bum genius cloth diapers
- 2 pens
There was room for more! This would be the ultimate diaper bag for parents of multiples, or with several young children close in age!
Not to mention, the WannaBe is ideal for any time you need to be out ALL DAY; an amusement park, the beach, a field trip; whatever your family likes to do!
Ju-Ju-Be also has a bag for times when you DON’T need to carry “everything but the kitchen sink”!

I was floating on air for hours after such a compliment! (I DID tell her it was a diaper bag, but I made it sound like the REALLY COOL diaper bag it actually is!).

What is NOT to love about these bags? It’s got brawn AND beauty! I found a very interesting feature I hadn’t known about: instead of using velcro (sccrreech), they’ve used super magnets! Oh I couldn’t stand how diapers always got stuck on the velcro with regular old bags…
Although I do not have a human baby, I do go places with my eleven year old. He requires many many items to be at his disposal and so I’m thinking this bag is just what I need for trips to the zoo or around the city.

I love JuJuBe! The BeLight is one of my favorites, but I think another great bag is the BeAll — especially if you are going out for the day with more than one child in tow — you’d be absolutely set with this great bag! I love that Ju-Ju-Be bags have anti microbial linings. Such a great company. Keeping my fingers super crossed for this one!

The BeMine is so fabulous! Small enough to fit into the JJB mommy pockets, but just big eough to fit all the wallet essentials, even your cell phone. And when you get out without the kiddos, you can pull it out throw the strap over your shoulder and have both hands free! Love it!

I have been enjoying the Be Light since my dd is almost four–I have it in a spring/summer and fall print. I also have a between (which I downsized to the Be Light from), Be All (for more babies) and a couple be quicks for organization.I have a a Be Mine in a spring and fall print as well. This is the second time I’ve seen one of these bags on a review. I loved you review, very detailed. I had a look at another bag I like. It’s the “Be Prepared” from the Premiere Collection. This bag has color coded tabs to let you know which pocket is for which kid. This would be a great bag for when we go away for the weekend with my 3 kids. I love these bags and would love to win one!

The MiniBe is so clever!!! It is comfortable to wear, allows me to be hands free when out with baby, holds the perfect amount for a morning out for errands (holds more than you would expect!), and has a cute picture flap and scrunchy key chain!

What great bags! I also think their Bottle Rocket is a really cool idea, I definitely could have used that when my daughter was a baby. Now that I’m having my second child in two months that jumps out as something I would love along with the Paci-Pod, so that I wouldn’t spend so much time searching for the pacifiers (not to mention cleaning the dirt off them). I love Ju-Ju-Be. The BeSpicy and BeLight are my favorites. I like that they use smart magnets instead of velcro and that most bags have light colored linings- so you can’t lose anything.

Wow, you really do pack it all! I wish I were as organized as you, but maybe this bag would help me! I love my Kalencom diaper bag, but it just doesn’t have all of those cool compartments.
