I like Met the Monkey. It is very scary today to think about where things come from. Sometimes I think that Americans are very sheltered.

I’ve heard about sweat shops & seen them on shows like 20/20, but I didn’t realize how much of what is sold here in the US is manufactured in sweat shops. So sad & inexcusable! I really appreciate this company taking a stand to bring attention to this travesty & leading by example. I like the monkey (and the dog, too)!

fair trade means that people in any country can make honest and fair wages without being exploited or essentially turned into slaves.

The giraffe or the cat would be fantastic!

Mooey is my favorite (or Pip).
I learned that through fair trade workers are paid fairly and treated with respect. I also read this at the site and was impressed: “Several times a year, we personally visit each and every facility where the Fair Indigo label is sewn and meet the workers who are at the core of bringing you the high-quality clothing and accessories you’ll find here.”

fair trade is important because it’s ethical & sustainable. fair trade also encourages better relationships between owners/management and workers. t’s also important to support fair trade & purchase fair trade products like joobles whenever possible. being an informed consumer is one of the most significant things an individual can do. my favorite jooble is fair bear, such a cute plush!

Paying people what they deserve for a days labor. You’d think it would be a simple concept but somehow its one that many corporations have overlooked in order to make more $$$.

I learned that quite simply, fair trade means that producers are paid fair prices for the products they produce, instead of the minimum prices that the marketplace will allow, as is the case in the mainstream market today.

If I win, I would want Buzzy Bug or Icy the Penguin :)

Fair trade is a rapidly growing movement dedicated to paying workers fair wages rather than minimum ones. ”changing the world one purchase at a time.” means that I can change the world one purchase at a time by shopping wisely, buying fair trade, sweatshop free, American made, organic and natural.
    I’d like Calley the Cat
