How To Raise A Beatles Fan

Jojo loves the music of The Beatles.
I’m not sure if he knows the people singing are called “The Beatles”, but thanks to watching The Yellow Submarine movie, he can tell you that his favorite Beatle is John.
He has his favorite songs too:
He also likes “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds,” which he calls “Picturey Shelf”, because the first line is “Picture yourself on a boat on a river…”
I find it hard to repress a laugh when he sings all of the vocal parts to Nowhere Man at once. It is pretty much impossible for once voice to sing the lead and the backup parts simultaneously.
“Nowhere man, please listeLALALALA you don’t know what your missLALALALALA, the world your command! At your command!” (I never said he gets the lyrics right).

A few weeks ago, I was reading the Rockabye Baby Music Blog and found a great link to free printable Beatles coloring pages.
I like the one of Paul brushing his teeth. Today Deeds and I colored the one captioned, “English Girls Welcome the Beatles.”

I have been looking for Beatles T-shirts in kid-size as well. I have several in my size already.

Besides The Yellow Submarine DVD and a library of pretty much every recorded Beatles song, you could do one better for your wee fanatic by searching out “Beatles Muppets” on YouTube. Look at these gems:

“Blackbird”, with Floyd:

“Octopus’ Garden”, featuring a mermaid Miss Piggy:

“Let It Be” parody about the letter B:

I love when his voice sorta squeaked up on the high notes! So cute!

That is so sweet! It reminds me of my cousins, who I used to babysit. They’d sing that song in that way too, which was cute and funny.

That’s a great clip of Blackbird too. Thanks for sharing it.
