HonestFoods Even as a seasoned traveler, I get really anxious about what kind of snacks to bring on an airplane.

I’ve been in some starved situations in my time, such as when my pre-ordered vegetarian meals didn’t make it aboard a 12 hour flight to Beijing, and nothing else was offered instead.

Honest Foods have been a fortuitous find for me.

I had just been sent some Honest Foods products to sample and grabbed a few for my flight from East Coast USA to Laos last month.

The first hurdle involved flying to Houston, then LAX. The flight to Houston was delayed by two hours due to ice storms or somesuch, and thought I had been given food vouchers by Delta because they screwed up something with my first flight, my connections were so tight that I never got to have lunch or dinner before boarding the 17 hour flight to Bangkok.

HonestFoods2 On the teeny-tiny plane that took me to Houston, there wasn’t much to be had in the way of food.

Jojo fell asleep and I grabbed for a Honest Foods Granola Planks, Pomegranate Walnut Crisp.

The first thing I loved about it: it is big! Each Honest Foods Granola Planks are actually two servings. No matter. I needed them.

The texture of Honest Foods Granola Planks is kind of moist but crumbly. It is delicious alone but it would be fun to eat with yogurt or milk. Apparently you can even toast them.

The taste? Very delicious; it was all about the whole grains, nuts, seeds, and fruits. There was no weird “health store” taste. Honest Foods Granola Planks are all-natural. Each serving has 300 mg of omega-3! I’m a big omega-3 fan!

Other Honest Foods Granola Planks flavors are Blueberry Vanilla Crackle and Maple Almond Crunch.

granola I also tried the Honest Foods Baked Whole Foods Bar, which is cute and more compact than the Granola Plank.

I tried the Cran Lemon Zest variety, but you can also get Apple Ginger, Almond Trail Mix, or Choco Peanut Butter.

The Honest Foods Baked Whole Foods Bar, Cran Lemon Zest was nice and dense, and had a “baked goods” flavor.

They naturally have lots of different nutrients, and at least 5 grams of protein. Amazingly, Honest Foods Baked Whole Foods Bar are HAND MADE and completely pure, baked with almond butter.

Buy your Honest Foods deliciousness at Whole Foods grocery stores, online at Amazon.com or Honest-Foods.com

Thank you, Honest Foods for the delicious samples!
