I highly recommend baby wearing, and I especially love all of the fantastic infant carrier options that are on the market today.

I have some dear friends who are on the cusp of an adoption. They are first time parents, and actually came to me for advice.

One of the first things that came to mind as a must have for a new bundle of joy is a quality, comfortable baby sling.

Rockin’ Baby Sling and Rockin’ Baby Pouch are made for the modern parent.

Rockin’ Baby Sling and Pouch are made in the USA for the parent who wants to remain fashionable, functioning and true to their sense of self while nurturing their baby. Both can be worn in 5 different carrying positions to match baby’s mood and development up to 40 lbs, or 3 years of age. It is great for nursing baby and for just getting around. I especially love the names of each design, which are borrowed from familiar rock songs. “A Forest” is pictured to the left. My favorite is, “All the Leaves are Brown.”

For the adoptive parent, “bonding” is quite the buzz word. I definitely understand the pressure of wanting to do the best for your baby, and always second guessing as to whether you are “doing it right” or “doing enough”.

I was so thrilled that Rockin’ Baby Sling donated a sling to my friends for their new baby, due next Tuesday! He (it is supposed to be a boy!) will be going home from the hospital with his real, adoptive family.

I’ve long admired Rockin’ Baby slings, and I’m especially fond of their website and the themed-names of their slings. The “Take it Easy” sling is my favorite pattern, although if I had to go by song, it would be “In Bloom”

“I am of the school of thought that if your newborn wants to be held all of the time, do it!” ~ I completely 100% agree. 6 months later, I still hold Charlie whenever she wants, If something needs to get done I sling her or try to do it when she’s napping.

And now I have about 6 different songs stuck in my head reading all the names for slings and pouches LOL! Good luck to all that enter!

I really like the idea of the “black magic woman” pouch. My husband would totally rock that.

I like the ‘One Love’ sling…lovely colors, good song. The ‘Love and Happiness’ pouch also has great colors. I like bright colors and bold designs!

I have a grandbaby due on Christmas day,I think the mom would like ,#089 Ride On,you are right this would be perfect to bond if you adopted a baby,we adopted also but our daughter was 16 when we adopted her,so shes a bit too big to fit,lol,but we have had her for 3 yrs we found different ways to bond,thanks

I heart the Lovestruck #171. I am beyond the baby bearing years but would wear this when I babysit my grandchildren. I wish they would of had these slings when my children were little. Great giveaway.
