Get Ready for A Blog Giveaway Carnival!
I always look forward to the Bloggy Giveaways Carnival that happens quarterly.
I have participated in the past 5 and discovered lots of wonderful new blogs through the experience.
Also I won some fabulous prizes along the way!
So, imagine my shock and horror when I visited BloggyGiveaways.com only to find that the CARNIVAL IS CANCELED INDEFINITELY!
*slow motion* NOOOOOOOOooooooo!
After a few minutes during which I forgot myself, knelt despairingly on the floor and did that open mouthed ugly-cry thing that involves whale-like moans, I had an epiphany.
I knew I had to act. The show must go on!
I decided to host my own blog giveaway carnival. Now, this is in no way affiliated with BloggyGiveaways.com, other than being my personal tribute to it’s former awesomeness.
RIP, BloggyGiveaways.com.
How Give It Away Now works:
“Give it Away Now” is a blog giveaway carnival.
Participants host a giveaway on their own blogs. Gain entry into each giveaway by visiting the individual host blog and following the instructions provided.
My advice to giveaway hosts is to KEEP IT SIMPLE. Don’t expect would-be contest entrants to jump through too many crazy hoops.
A simple comment with some small feedback is appropriate.
To participate in the Give It Away Now carnival as a host, permalink your giveaway on the Mr. Linky here at MomMostTraveled.com during the week of May 4 - May 8.
Giveaways can start anytime during carnival week (Sunday to Friday).
Giveaways CAN go live on Sunday, but the Mr. Linky will not be posted until 8 am CST on Monday, May 4.
When you sign Mr. Linky, the link you post must be a direct link to the page where YOUR giveaway is found.
We are looking for a permalink, not just the URL of your homepage.
The post containing the links to all the participants will be at the top of my blog all week.
It should be a fun week of increased blog traffic for all involved! And who knows, maybe you will win something amazing!
The Mr. Linky giveaway carnival listing will close at 11:00pm CST on Friday, May 8.
Contest hosts are responsible for contacting their giveaway winners. Make sure you let your entrants know that they need to leave a way for you to contact them.
Choose and notify your winners at some point between Friday, May 8 and Sunday, May 10.
Prizes during the Give it Away Now carnival must be
Family friendly (no love toys or dirty books on this one, please. Nothing I would be embarrassed explaining to my child if he asked, “Mommy, what is that?”)
The Mr. Linky WINNERS LIST will go live Friday, May 8.
The Winner’s List is not for new giveaways. It is for linking your “winner announcement” post.
Your giveaway should be open to bloggers and non bloggers.
Please make the terms clear. Your giveaway post should include:
-A description of the item you are giving away
-The date the contest will end.
-A statement about who may enter your giveaway (US residents, Canadians, International) ?
- A text link back to MomMostTraveled.com. Please link the words “Mom Most Traveled”
I will check your post to make sure all of these elements are present. If they are not, I will try to contact you to make the necessary corrections. If you cannot be contacted or will not make the corrections, I will have to delete your link from the carnival.

Also, your button code is not working. You just have double sets of quotation marks. I deleted all the extra ones and it’s fine now. I did need to shrink it though so it fit on my sidebar. Hope you don’t mind!

Yay! I was so sad to find a couple weeks back that the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival was off. Always get a nice increase in traffic for those giveaways. Thanks! I’ll try and figure out a few giveaways to include!
