Scoolio-Von-Hoolio. It sounds hip, and is extremely fun to say.

What is it? Scoolio-Von-Hoolio is a new line of school supplies from Office Max, designed with kid appeal.

I love the cupcake designs, but the owl is my true fave.

Today on twitter at 1pm CST, look for the hash tag #omx_blogcast for a chance to probe the organizational genius of my hero, Peter Walsh, about how your fam can stay organized during the back-to-school transition.

I love those expanding files #OMX_Blogcast (for organizing the plethora of school papers)

@OfficeMax is also offering teachers a 15% discount on Aug 9! They care about our teachers!! http://twurl.nl/vi7uj4 #OMX_Blogcast

AND Peter Walsh (!!!) also answered the question I submitted, in which I asked if there were any school supplies that he thought people tend to overbuy or underbuy, hence creating organizational challenges.

HE said PENCILS AND PENS! People get way to many and it creates crazy backpack and desk clutter.

Peter suggested taking stock in the supplies you already have before you go school shopping.

I completely agree; two weeks ago I donated about 60 pens from promotional events to a school supply drive. There IS such a problem as “too much of a good thing”!

I have the too-many-pencils problem…I admit it. It is so hard NOT to buy them when a store has such a good deal on them. But, this year, I have not bought any pencils! Yay me! We have so many already…

Great post… love these supplies. Great idea too, about getting the kids involved, helps them remember to keep things organized because THEY chose their own stuff. We donated lots of pens and pencils when the kids were little to the school, I had been working at a doctors office and had gotten them from pharmaceutical reps - it’s a great idea!!
Thanks for all the tips and reminders.
