Games From The Good Old Days

I guess I am a bit of a romantic; I always think wistfully of simpler times, back-to-basics toys and games.

I was excited yesterday after school when Jojo asked me to play Pilgrims with him. We are making head way.

I was also thrilled to introduce him to great classic games available at the cute toy store Nico and Zoe!

They have nostalgic stuff like Hopscotch, Jumbo Jacks in Classic Tin, Tiddly Winks, and Marbles.

These games are only $10 and are impossibly cute. They come in darling tins (only 5 inches long) and are all made in the USA by Channel Craft in Charlerol, Pennsylvania.

The convenient size makes them a good choice for grabbing when you are heading out the door. Your child can amuse themselves at restaurants, in waiting rooms, and in the bleachers at older sibling’s sports practice!

Who knew? My 4-year-old son loves to play Hopscotch! Whenever he says “hoss-scoch”, I just want to squeeze him!

Nico and Zoe is an enchanting online toy store filled with unique artisan-quality and natural toys.

And Nico and Zoe is owned by two moms who realize that there should be a place to buy cool toys like this for the cost-conscious!

I am a frugal girl at heart, so for this mission, I am ever grateful.

I can’t wait to see what this little jewel of a toy shop cooks up for the holidays!

I love games from “the good old days” too!

Nico and Zoe is such a great shop. I love how they have Nico’s picks and Zoe’s picks, which makes shopping for kids easier.

Jacks! I haven’t thought about jacks in ages…
