Fun and Games Giveaway: Beddy Bye Baby

Welcome to Day ONE of “It’s All Fun and Games!” at Mom Most Traveled.

Everyday from Monday until Friday I will be offering a new giveaway for a family friendly game!

Today I’m excited to introduce you to a new favorite at our house, Beddy-Bye Baby!

Beddy-Bye Baby is a new game from Briarpatch, an innovator in the development of games and puzzles for children of all ages.

Briarpatch has won over 275 awards for product excellence since their inception in 1992!

According to Dr. Toy, games are a wonderful way to teach social skills, dexterity, focus, and concentration to children.

Besides all of those educational benefits, games are fun!

The Beddy-Bye Baby Game is a race to collect all of the things baby needs (teddy, pj’s, and a bottle) before being put to bed.

Two to Four players try to advance by rolling the adorable pastel-colored rattle die (it even has a little bell inside that jingles when you roll the die!).

When your game piece lands on a picture of an item you need, you can collect the card with the corresponding picture.

All 3 items must be collected before baby can enter the nursery!

If you land on a picture of a sleeping baby, player draw from a “chance” pile. This keeps the game interesting: a baby with a sad face needs a bottle (so you have to give him one of your teddy cards), a happy baby wants to play so he needs a teddy…personally I fell victim to these cards several times, and it cost this Mama the game!

No reading is required for this game, and while I haven’t “let” him win, my preschool-aged son has consistently won this game every time we played.

One time we coincidentally rolled the same color every time. We won “together”, which Jojo found very exciting.

Beddy Bye Baby is best suited for children ages 4 and older.

This is a game that I truly enjoy playing with my child. It is interesting and not endless (endless would be like my nemesis, Chutes and Ladders!).

I think Beddy Bye Baby would be a great game to give to a child who will soon become a big brother or big sister!

Win Beddy Bye Baby from Briarpatch!

To enter, visit the Briarpatch website and comment here with the name of another Briarpatch game that looks like fun to you!

One winner will be chosen at random.

This giveaway will close on Monday, September 22, 12 midnight.

Winner will be contacted by email (if you remember to leave your contact info!).

Optional Extra Entries (Leave a separate comment for each):

Subscribe to my RSS feed by e-mail or by a reader (four more giveaways this week! Get ready!).

Oh, that’s a hard one. I loved lots of games like Candyland, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Connect Four. My brothers and I always lost the pieces though (except for the hungry hippos marbles that my cousin ate and then, eh-hem, expelled). There should be an orphaned game pieces store or website…actually there probably already is!
