I teach preschool, and I see some pretty blatant germ-spreading going on during runny nose season.
I remind them to wash hands as much as possible, sometimes the damage has already been done to the blocks, dress ups, and art supplies.
Felicity Floo Visits the Zoo is a funny story written and illustrated by E.S. Redmond that makes a good point in a lighthearted way.
Felicity Floo has a runny nose, which she wipes WITHOUT A TISSUE.
Then, Felicity Floo tours the zoo, petting and infecting all of the animals, leaving them sniffling and sickly.
Felicity Floo Visits the Zoo is written in verse and ends with a caution to learn from Felicity Floo and her germy experience, so as not to repeat it yourself.
Felicity Floo Visits the Zoo is a beautifully illustrated way to remind little ones about how their runny nose can effect others!
Thanks to Candlewick Press for providing me with a review copy of Felicity Floo Visits the Zoo!
