One day I decided that instead of only going to “family” restaurants, I would try to teach my children “grown-up” manners.
I took Jojo on an outing to a nice Italian restaurant and taught him some basic fancy-place manners.
I showed him how to take the cloth napkin, lay it in your lap, then use the corner to dab his lips when neccessary.
He really liked that part, and started napkin-policing me to make sure I was obeying the etiquette rules.
A short time later, learned about Eti-kits; napkin clips that attach to clothing - keeping the napkin in place during eating.
No more dropped napkins, Eti-kits are handy for learning and making sure that napkin stays put!
I love the simple idea, and the clips are easy enough for kids to open and close by themselves.
They also aren’t very pinchy, which is good because the first thing Deeds did was clamp one to the end of each finger, just for fun.
Eti-kits come with stickers so that kids can customize “their” pair. The sticker designs are things like butterflies, soccer balls, flowers and cars.
At $8.00 for package of 4, Eti-kits would be handy to have for eating in the car, at home, or a picnic!
I was provided with a set of Eti-kits for the purposes of this review!
