Just before my first child came into the world, I found myself surrounded with newborn clothes and itty bitty bibs. Those were the most popular shower gifts I received (must have been some good deals that week!).

I remember looking at the pile of drool bibs (seriously, like 20 of them) and thinking, “I will never have to buy a bib as long as I live!”

Wrong! Once Jojo actually started eating solid foods, I found out the truth! Those itty-bitty bibs that only covered the area between a 6-month-old’s chin and sternum do not have what it takes to prevent meal time messes!

Shea had the same frustrations finding an effective bib for her daughter, which motivated her to create DaBib!

Shea spent over 1 year on the design, using parents and daycare centers to test the prototypes, until finally everyone agreed that DaBib was the best it could be!

DaBib comes in two styles: DaHugs is great for infants, featuring a super-absorbent soft micro-fiber terry front & waterproof back.

The DaGiggles style is a wipe-off, waterproof bib - terrific for toddlers. I could see this being useful for finger painting and other artistic experiments!

Both styles are machine wash/dry, and highly shrink-resistant!

Why all the raves? Well, for starters, DaBib is made from nylon and polyester (not PVC). It covers a wide area so that baby’s shoulders, chest, and lap are protected from messes.

The patent-pending “scrunch collar” is a unique feature that comfortably keeps DaBib snug around baby’s neck to prevent dribbles.

I like the “reversible crumb catcher” ! It functions like a pocket but you can turn it inside out to clean it or get it out of the way!

I tried to get JonJon to pose wearing his DaHugs, but he said he wasn’t feeling up to it, being only 3 weeks old and everything.

I did have to laugh at the way DaHugs covered his entire wee body!

I’m totally with you on the tons of drool bibs I got and never really used. We need garbage-sized bibs around here, and the only ones that work for us are the Baby Bjorn (since SoJo can’t rip it off) and the terry cloth ones. So of course I’d love the Da Hugs bib in the yellow print.
