Books:
Nonfiction, children’s:
I got on a non-fiction children’s book kick last year. I realized that Jojo’s preschool mind absorbs so much, why not expose him to actual facts once in a while? It is important to me to have lots of books around, especially because in Laos there isn’t much access to English language books.
Books: Fiction, Childrens:
I’m really trying to pack “good books”. Once I read an article in which books were compared to “junk food” and “healthy food”, meaning that some books are works of art that will nourish the mind, and some are just…junk. I try to use that to guide my thinking when I am selecting books for my children. I ask myself, “What can they learn from THIS book?”
