I went on a cruise way back in 1988, and I have often thought it would be a fun, low-stress option for a family vacation.
However, I don’t know anything about how to get the most for my money, or how to find the type of cruise that would be best for us.
Wouldn’t you know, there is a guide for that!
The new Complete Guide to Cruising & Cruise Ships 2010 is updated and brimming with helpful cruise planning information.
Complete Guide to Cruising & Cruise Ships 2010 is the 25th Anniversary Edition of the mother of all Cruise guides.
Written by cruise-guru, Douglas Ward, an independant expert on cruising, this truthful and to-the-point guide helps you identify the cruise that is right for you.
There are reviews of 270 cruise ships; even the 12 brand new ships set to debut in 2010.
At-a-glance charts help you compare the major cruise lines for cabin facilities, food and service.
My favorite are the top tips on how to get the best value for money.
I haven’t booked a cruise yet, but Complete Guide to Cruising & Cruise Ships 2010 is suitable for solo travelers, honeymooners, families, or those who require special assistance.
New to the Complete Guide to Cruising & Cruise Ships 2010 edition is a chapter about environmentally friendly cruising. That is something I hadn’t thought of, but I actually would be willing to pay a little more if it meant for an earth-friendly travel experience.
I love the sections “What Could Be Improved?” and “What the Brochures Won’t Tell You“. Complete Guide to Cruising & Cruise Ships 2010
really seems to tell it the way it is!

You’ve got to find a way to go on another cruise! I’ve cruised about 7 times with my mom: Caribbean, Mexico & Alaska (the best!). There is so much offered now for kids, and you can get really good deals, too. If you need a cruise agent, I know at least 2 who can get you super fantastic deals!

Sounds like a good read - I’m still on the fence on if a cruise is for me or not. Hopefully this will answer the question!

I took one 48-hour mini-cruise, and one that was 8 days long. I can certainly understand the appeal, now (after much resistance), but I too would be curious about the ecological impact of all those cruise liners. Thanks!
