I was a barista at a local coffee shop for several years. This was right when the “chain coffee shop” was starting to become a phenomenon. I loved learning about all of the different flavors and roasts of coffees.
I had never heard of exotic names like Sumatra Mandheling and Tanzanian Peaberry. It actually too me some time figure out that these beans were named for the places where they were grown, but when I honeymooned in Jamaica and tasted Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, I was inspired to one day sample these
unique flavors at their source.
I have been lucky enough to go to Indonesia (island of Java, but I didn’t make it to Sumatra!) but there are lots more coffees and teas of interest to me that I don’t want to wait to try!
I was able to review Sumatra Mandheling, loose leaf Spiced Chai Tea, and some extremely handy T-sac Tea Pouches from CoffeeBeanDirect.com
I am totally impressed; gourmet quality coffees and teas delivered right to my door? Extremely awesome.
The Spiced Chai Tea is so tasty, with fragrant spices and a blend of black teas. I like to drink mine iced, with milk and sugar.
The T-sac Tea Pouches make it easy to brew loose leaf tea. I wish I had known that these exisited YEARS ago! The chlorine and bleach free paper pouces let you make your own tea bag so that clean up and brewing is super easy. No more stray leaves in the teeth!
I also feel really cool spooning tea leaves into the pouch. It makes me more cultured.
Whole bean Sumatra Mandheling? Yum! This is a renowned “dessert coffee”, because of its low acidity. Indonesian coffee is rich and sometimes described as “syrupy”. And wait until you sniff that deliciousness!
I can endorse CoffeeBeanDirect for both the quality and convenience. They have a great selection of everything from Herbal Teas to Fair Trade and Organic coffees!
I also dig my ORGANIC COTTON t-shirt!
Thank you, Coffee Bean Direct, for the incredibly fun review! My breakfast routine is much more exciting now.

I shall take a look at their site. I buy all my coffee and tea from an all Fair Trade and Organic Site. We drink a lot of Sumatran coffee, so we buy in bulk.

I will take a look at their site. I don’t drink coffee that much but a lot of tea. I make my own blend which is a combination of black, Jasmin, green and earl gray tea. I like to try different kinds.
