Beaute de Maman

Beaute de Maman is a new cosmeceutical line with a fabulously French name, consisting of great obstetrician-developed and natural products for pregnant and new moms.
Refreshingly, not only are these products safe and effective, they are also affordable! Now that is what I am talking about!

Interestingly, Beaute de Maman products were developed by Dr. Michele Brown, an experienced obstetrician (and mom) who has delivered more than 3,000 babies!

This is someone who is very familiar with the challenges an changes pregnancy brings to the organs, hair, skin, muscles, bones and the nutritional status of the mother-to-be.

I got to sample the majesty that is the facial scrub. I’m not pregnant nor am I a new mom - this is a product not just designed for pregnant moms - but also people who have sensitive skin.

This facial scrub isn’t harsh; it is formulated to cleanse the skin while moisturizing at the same time.

It is such a relief to know that a safe facial scrub like this exists. My “baby” is two years old now, but my face was constantly aflame with fresh breakouts when I was postpartum. I will definitely want some Beaute de Maman facial scrub in my beauty arsenal next go around! (Read this informative article by Dr. Michele Brown about Acne During Pregnancy.)

Also worth noting is the reasonably priced Stretch Mark Cream.

I have seen other creams for this purpose selling for twice the price.
Nobody wants stretch marks, but you don’t want to be in the poor house after fighting them, either!
This stretch mark cream is unique because Beaute de Maman contains herbal and botanical ingredients that have been shown to increase collagen and elastin.

Beaute de Maman products are available at Mom4Life, www.cvs.com, www.target.com, http://www.beautedemaman.com (free shipping on 2 or more items), and Amazon.com.

Beaute de Maman generously provided me with a review sample of the facial scrub and stretch mark cream, as well as one full sized facial scrub to give away to a Mom Most Traveled reader.

This is what I learned about Beaute de Maman:
Beauté de Maman contains herbal and botanical ingredients that have been shown to increase collagen and elastin. Breakage of these skin proteins during the rapid expansion of the skin during pregnancy is responsible for the creation of stretch marks. By increasing the production of these skin proteins the severity and the extent of stretch marks can be markedly reduced.

The Facial Scrub was developed to cleanse the skin and unclog pores, which can contribute to blemished skin. It is good for all skin types. The exfoliating beads are in a moisturizing base and help remove surface dirt and make-up.
