Bamboosa is a company who makes beautiful clothing, blankets, soaps, even a stuffed toy out of bamboo fibers. I have lived in Asia for several years. Bamboo grows there (some species at the amazing rate of 4 feet per day) quite prolifically. I knew it was useful for making fishing poles, fences, and bamboo soup, but the clothing thing is a new and exciting concept to me!

I had to try one for myself, and I’m so glad I did. My Bamboosa 100% Bamboo Fine Jersey Fitted Tank arrived wrapped adorably in bamboo tissue and tied with twine:

Bamboosa fabric is very soft. I tried to brainstorm with my sister-in-law about a way to describe it in words. We sat on the couch together thoughtfully petting my shirt. The best comparison we could conjure was “jersey knit sheets with a high thread-count”. Not poetic, but maybe you can picture it.
Besides being soft, Bamboosa clothing stays 2-3 degrees cooler in hot temperatures, and warmer in cold weather! Bamboosa bamboo fabric is natural, chemical free, 100% biodegradable, and naturally anti-microbial. It all sounds too good to be true, but it IS true, my friends!
