I had a blind date once. I opened the door to the homeliest man I had ever seen. (I am not shallow, I still gave him a chance). When we went out, he told me hadn’t dated much, he had alot of problems. I ended up feeling sorry for him. I kept him as a friend, not romantic. He has alot of problems, I am even going to have to stop being friends with him. I still feel badly for him, but I can only do so much.

I started dating my husband when I was 16, so I didn’t have too many “dud dates”. I did go out on a date with a guy when I was about 14. We went to a movie and then went for pizza. He put hot pepper flakes on his pizza and told me to try it and sprinkled some on mine. I still remember how my mouth burned! Thanks for the review and giveaway!

i can tell u a date story of a friend.
She was set up on a blind date by her best friend who’s friend suggested she do so. Turns out the date was her teacher. it was the most awkward date ever. he didnt know how to leave and she didnt want to offend him and say no. they ended up going to dinner-(it was a silent one mostly..where he talked bout the class he taught and asked her if she had any questions…and she was just too embarassed to even speak up)…and came home..and she swore never to go on blind dates again! the next day though…when she went to class…the prof couldnt make eye contact with her for the whole semester! the middle friend got a good busting! : )

I haven’t a whole lot of dud dates, but for ASL class in college I was supposed to go out with a group of classmates and only use sign language at a restaurant. Well, nobody else showed except me and Antonio! So here we are, classmates, not friends outside of class, unable to speak, only able to use sign (ASL 101 by the way) and on a date and TGIFs! LOL.. it was pretty funny afterward, but awkward to say the least!

I had a really close friend who had a cousin who was a newspaper reporter. He needed a date to some big wig political function so he invited me. I thought he was ghastly looking, had horrible manners, and when he kissed me good night he tasted like licking an ashtray. I didn’t go out with him again needless to say.

This isn’t much of an answer but I really haven’t had dud dates because I only dated 2 guys before meeting my now husband. If it counts, the other month, we left our son with our parents who were visiting us, and went to see Alice in Wonderland. Of course, it was completely sold out for the night. First night we’d had a chance to have a date-night in over 6mos. Figures.

I remember using Match.com to find someone. At the same time I was volunteering my Friday nights for a homeless outreach, so I thought, why not invite the “date” to join me in my volunteering. He did OK, but needless to say, I didn’t hear back from him again.

Well, I don’t know if this qualifies as a dud or not. But, I once went out with a friend’s friend just to get closer to his best friend. The friend I went out with was missing his front teeth.

Back in college i was sort of seeing this guy. On day he called me and asked if i wanted to go to the movies. I said yes but I had to pick him up as he um didnt have a car. So i pick him up and we go to the movies and all his friends were already in line to see the same movie. So we get to the front of the line and i wanted for him to pay and he was like yeah i dont have any money so can you pay for us? We were already there so i didn’t want to say no. Then his friends were telling me how he never has money and he always makes them pay for him and they wouldnt do it that time so thats why he called me! I don’t mind paying for dates at all either spitting it 50/50 or taking turns paying for dates but he called me and he only called because his friends wouldn’t lend him money!

Luckliy I haven’t really had many dud dates stories. Worst was a guy friend ended up to be a complete jerk. Rude to everyone that was with us and rude to me. We ended up leaving him at our last stop on the night out. Couldn’t take any more insults.

I met a cute guy who worked in a restaurant that I went to sometimes. We flirted back and forth for several visits. I liked him and was excited when he finally asked me out. I still decided to play it safe (since it was still a first date) and asked him to meet me for coffee. I’d hardly taken a sip when he disclosed to me that he was “also interested in men.” I made it clear that he wasn’t for me, and I took the rest of my coffee to go, LOL!

A FRIEND’s date stood him up for Jr Prom.
So I said I would go as a FRIEND…well at the end of the night he gave a semi-quick kiss goodnight which was OK by me.
Now there is always a picnic at the dunes the next day and it’s a blast. Well my FRIEND thought I was going to make out with him on a blanket all day. YUK!!!
    I don’t think so!!!
